Re: failed smog please helpppp

However if you do want to check it, while the engine is running, pinch the pcv hose, then let go. If...

Re: spongy brakes, no pressure..

The parking brakes ARE only applied to the rear brakes. However, when you brake when driving you DO use the rear brakes. And yes the distribution of hydraulic force is more in the front than in the...

Re: spongy brakes, no pressure..

There is an order lol, it just has to do with how efficient the bleed is and how effectively you get the air out. You're also supposed to use an electronic hand tool to cycle the solonoids in the ABS...

Re: spongy brakes, no pressure..

The same you would bleed the front brakes...

Pump the clutch slowly three times, then hold the brake pedal down. Have someone crack the bleed screw and when the flow almost stops, close it. Repeat...

Re: spongy brakes, no pressure..

I think that was sarcastic. At least I hope so. For a prelude the proper order is Left front, right rear, right front, left rear. Also if you let the fluid level in the resevoir get too low then you...

Re: Help finding a cat delete

Well I went ahead and ordered the tp, I'm going to keep the old cat, because with it I was able to pass inspection, so if I do need to go through inspection again (my state is getting rid of...

Re: General Questions prior to engine swap

Yea I'm pretty sure that is what my friend has, and it's still more powerful than the one I got. He recently swapped his leaking H22a4 with a blacktop H22a, and he's really happy with it, so that's...

Re: Help finding a cat delete

I'm not going to leave it alone because my cat is shot, there's something rattling inside and it rattles everytime I shut the door, it's really annoying. And with the engine I gotta buy I don't want...

Re: failed smog please helpppp

How old is the car and has the cat ever been replaced? If you got 200k miles on the car and the cats never been replaced that may be an issue.

Re: Help finding a cat delete

Thanks guys. I'm not really looking for an ECS, I'm on a limited budget and I like simple stuff. Less parts, less problems. For the first suggestion I think you found exactly what I'm looking for,...

Help finding a cat delete

First off, if you're looking to tell me not to take the cat off for whatever reason, then don't post. I don't wanna hear it.

I did a forum search for cat delete that turned up zilch, basically...

Re: General Questions prior to engine swap

Well unfortunatly money IS a rather large concern. I got about $2,000 to work with here, so the engine won't even be new. Plus I have yet to buy a new radius rod to get my alignment back into spec,...

Re: General Questions prior to engine swap

As a sub-topic (no need to make a new post) I just found out my catalytic converter is kaput, shot, effed. As I see it I can go a couple routes with this, other than just leave it be, cuz it rattles....

Re: General Questions prior to engine swap

Welp, I like the red tops, the H22a type S I'm assuming. I heard they were less powerful than bluetops although they have more horsepower. How is that supposed to work?

Also, what exactly is a...

Re: Help! Question about fuel for my 5th Gen 'lude

It's best to run 91 in it, as per mfg spec., but i'm sure one tank of 87 isn't going to hurt it at all. If you're worried, don't beat the hell out of it until you put 91 in it. No biggie.

Re: My clutch is brokeded. Help wanted.

How do I see the shift fork moving? I'm so far clueless as to how transmissions operate. And the seller said the clutch plate was near brand new, but I can't tell if that's the truth or not. It also...

Re: answer my question, get five bucks. tax and shipping applies.

thanks guys, the car is in the shop right now (didn't want to risk taking the 9 hour trip with it out to my college) so I'll have to inform my mechanic about the oil cooler o-ring. Maybe he won't...

Re: answer my question, get five bucks. tax and shipping applies.

ah, well it isn't leaking from there. And yes, I do smell a hint of gas in the oil, but i didn't see any gas in oil during oil change and it doesn't smell really bad like gas.

Personally I think...
