it ended up being the ignition switch but luckily honda replace it for free so really didnt cost me anything but thanks for all the help

Yeah I will probably test the igintion switch tomorrow with a continuity tester.

I thought with an ignition switch it still try to crank but wont start? My car does not even try to crank all I hear is a click.

I have try searching around the forum and I can not find the answer. The car will start like early in the morning and after I go to a place and turn the car off and than try to turn it back on it...

so yea i bought another accord and it was lower and from the looks of it it was missing everything from like the brackets, screws, etc.. (car bought for was like 2 grand) but anyways i park in too...

checking and adjusting timing on a 97 accord

how can i check the timing on my 97 accord, i try a timing gun but i couldnt find the marker for it. and also how can i adjust the timing. somone told me only way its to change out the whole timing...

with mines is like i erased the code and like if i just drive like 50 miles a day it wont come bak on again but like if i drive 160 mile in a day than it pops bak on >_>

I have a 97 accord lx non vtech engine
The codes are p1200 and the misfire of cylinder 1 and 2
i have hcange the distributor cap and rotor, clean egr ports, new spark plugs, new spark plug cables....

basing it on an auto h22 has about 180 and you really cant do to it while the k24 has more hp and torque, and most people who even has an auto h22 always end up switchin to manual just to get more...
