Re: 93 Civic Battery and Oil light came on then engine died.

Replace that hose and any others that are the same age/condition as that one. Same with the battery, get a good name brand battery with a warranty not some refurbished cheapy.

What's SUPER nice is that when I bought it the A/C didn't work. I converted it over to R-134 and it worked GREAT! It's sat for 2-3 weeks off and on while I've been trying to get it all sorted out and...

New battery in and fires right up like there was never an issue. Found something out though... They had an alarm system on it at some point (may still be installed for all I know), probably some...

New battery is in the truck and I'll get it in the car in the next hour or so. As far as getting it running it runs sometimes and sometimes it doesn't so it really isn't "fixed" yet.

Well I drove it for about 10 minutes and let it charge off of my Excursion (both of them running) for another 10 before that and when I got it back home I shut it off. I went to try and start it...

Well I'll test for spark today then. Might as well do the pump though since I have it in hand and the old one is 20+ years old.

Oh, I didn't go with the 255L. I went with just an OEM replacement unit. I'll be pulling it apart today and getting it ready for when the new pump comes in, I'll try and post some pics up :)

Ok, small victory. I went out to mess with it today and still didn't hear the pump. I went ahead and turned the key all the way and it fired up with no issues. I drove the 6 miles or so to get it...

FYI, when I "washed the engine bay" all I sprayed was around the radiator, the windshield, and the fenders. I was spraying all the dirt and debris away, not the motor itself. I did hit the valve...

Yes, but I covered the dizzy with a plastic bag like I have since I first started washing engine bays 25 years ago. No water got on or in it and when I disassembled it everything was clean and dry.
