ok... I have just had a jdm d15b swapped into my ef hatchback (89) and I am running into a problem. Unless I am reading this wrong my ecu is blinking 23 which is a knock sensor. Which does not make...

d15b throwing code

Ok... I am having a problem..... I swaped a d15b vtec into my 89 civic dx and everything is going ok but I am running into one problem. I am getting a code 23. And the vtec is not turning on....

Please note... that when I saw go in neutral I really mean go. I had the car in neutral and managed to drive it ok. You think my spring pin broke??? Something???

shifting issues

Ok... I got an issue with my shifting... I was driving down the street. Made a turn went into a dip and then I couldn't shift. I had to push my car over to the side and figure out a way to move it....

yup... the alternator is intended to keep the drain off the battery. The car starts with the battery then switches over to the alternator. And with a working car it won't matter that the battery is...

I am still waiting for the mechanic to tell me what went wrong but I screwed up my dizzy in the process of this mess. (it needed a new one anyway.)

It should. There should be no fundimental difference between the two starters because they both effect the flywheel/flexplate which are basically the same thing. All bolts should line up. All else...

Ok... did you remove the cable from the clutch pedel (I can't spell this morning) from it? It connects the clutch lever to the transmission housing. It will be on the very end of the pedel itself....

no it didn't start. I was just trying to push it but it seemed like one of the wheels was locked up. It took two people to get it going to any degree. I had to tow it to the mechanic and he is...

dead battery. Check it. AND just it case check your alternator. It can go wrong very quickly. (I should know I had an rx7 once)

ok... My fuel pump is priming, and the ground is on. But I have ran into another problem. I tried to move the car and it seems locked in place.
