id look at getting the cel takin care of. it can lead to poor power and poor gas mileage.

all connections for the engine were thoroughly cleaned and plugged in, and all were triple checked

vtec is defiantly working correctly...when it actually works. and I've tried three different ecu's, all with a b16 basemap.

cel works, no its not coming on. i know it works cuz i unplugged the coolant temp sensor and it threw a code. plugged it back in, reset the ecu and its off now. this is so frustrating

hmmmm good idea. I'm going to also get an oil pressure gauge to make sure oil pressure isn't dropping off after the car has been running for a bit.

i can't, the wiring harness is obd1, id have to get a whole new harness, and even then, i don't think it would work with the car

i can't figure this out. when the car warms up in the morning, vtec works fine. after a few miles of driving, vtec starts engaging later, closer to 6k rpm instead of 5200. then it will not work at...

gaps are horrible because its probably been wrecked...thats why the fenders are black on the inside of the engine bay, and the black on the bumper in the fender wells. not trying to hate on it, but...
