Re: Old alarm I've never had a remote for armed itself after dead battery

I looked everywhere for a valet button, didn't see it mounted anywhere or hanging under the dash. I took off the panels around the steering column, and the alarm wiring is such a mess. It looks like...

My car is a 97 Acura Integra I've had for 3 years. When I first got the car I noticed an old Clifford Alarm sticker in it, but neither me or the previous owner have ever had a fob for it. A few...

Re: Prelude turns over strong but won't start

Could the fact that it did start right after the new battery was put in and ran and started fine for several days before quitting narrow it down at all? That's the biggest part that confuses me, it...

Re: Are my headlight lenses repairable?

Thanks! I'll try that out eventually. I've always thought that the condition of the headlights and how they look have one of the biggest impacts on how clean the front end and car in general looks....

Re: Won't crank, click or anything when trying to start

I sent him a message and he replied with this-

"Hi yes your starter has been replaced with a earlier version. The starters are interchangeable but the pieces are not. No one sells the brush holder...

Re: Won't crank, click or anything when trying to start

One more question, I received the new brushes and went to install it, and noticed a possible problem. The rubber mounts that slides into the end cover and holds it in place is backwards... Which...

Re: Won't crank, click or anything when trying to start

Thanks! The neutral safety switch is what I thought the problem was with mine at first. Just with the way it wouldn't do anything at all when it didn't work, but turned over fine when it did.

Re: Won't crank, click or anything when trying to start

Thanks for not only finding the right part number for what I need, but also for the links! I ordered it and it should be a simple install when I receive it next week. Your posts are very helpful and...

Re: Won't crank, click or anything when trying to start

I took it all apart, and idk how it's supposed to look but it all looks pretty filthy. I tested the starter for the solenoid of it, and that came out fine. Now just gotta do more research and see...

Re: Won't crank, click or anything when trying to start

I plan on ordering new contacts tonight, I stopped in and got the autozone starter before the weekend because I was considering just wasting the money for a new starter so I could get it going right...

Re: Won't crank, click or anything when trying to start

I know he looked up the part number for the manual transmission... I double checked the part number on the box and on the sticker on the starter and they both matched to be the one I need. Maybe it...

Re: Won't crank, click or anything when trying to start

After a long weekend, I'm back home to rebuild my starter. I took it off, and was first going to remove the starter solenoid and test it. For some reason I can't get it off, it looks much different...

Re: Won't crank, click or anything when trying to start

Thanks for the information man, I appreciate it! I'll definitely be looking into rebuilding it, I assumed I'd just have to replace the whole starter.

I was planning on taking it to a big all...

Re: Won't crank, click or anything when trying to start

Update:

I had the battery tested and it came out fine. I went home and put the battery back in, and still wouldn't do anything. I finally took a hammer to the starter and tapped it several times,...

Re: Considering finally upgrading from stock exhaust

If (and probably when) I do order a ws2 exhaust, would it be necessary to get a different header? My exhaust is all original, including the header. I've kept the h22a all stock except for an Injen...

Re: Considering finally upgrading from stock exhaust

I'm really leaning towards just spending the money on a ws2 or maybe an sp2, even though they're pricey. As I see it I've spent enough making the exterior look perfect where I want it to be in my...

Re: Bad Power Steering leak

After looking at prices, rockauto has them for $100 less than autozone does. At that price it'd be worth the wait.

They have several options though, I'm not really seeing the difference between...

Re: Bad Power Steering leak

Is it even worth trying to replace the hose and clamp, or would you say the rack almost for sure needs replaced? Because it looks like it's just an air pressure hose where I can see it bubbling from,...
