the bending of it is from hitting with a hammer or excessive prying. you could try to remove the castle nut and tapping the lca and the weight of it may drop it right out, or wedge a jack inbetween...

you may end up having to cut the end of the bad ball joint off to get the LCA to seperate from it. and use a rubber mallet to tap the axle out of the spindle/wheel bearing.

you either didnt bleed the system completely or intalled the thermostat incorrectly, since its the thermo that acts like a valve opening and shutting off the coolant flow.

the new cluster is from a 98 ex 5spd. car is 97 dx with auto harness.

being a delivery driver in mine, i can honestly say the bridgestone potenza's have been the best tire on the civic yet, they give me great all around traction and the best wet/snow traction ive ever...

so i just swapped out my auto dx cluster for a 5spd ex one. am i right in thinking the green plug from the dx was for the auto gear indicator? but whats the one on the ex? its completely different...

you will have an extra plug or 2 left over from the auto harness. and you only have to run the reverse lights from the old auto shifter connector to the tranny, not all the way to the rear lights...

if you use your 96 engine harness it will be plug and play for you assuming you change the ecu. then youll only have to modify your harness at the auto shifter. or you could swap out that harness as...

it was a new one, i dont trust remanufactured. are you thinking voltage regulator? i thought that was built in to the alt, and before i replaced the alt under heavy voltage loads it would just drain...

so the cars lights are unusually dim at startup but once revved up to about 2500 rpms lights brighten and stay bright. car is a 97 dx. my question is this a possible power drain, or could it be fixed...
