Its a K20z1 (03 RSX Type S), yes tokyo thats exactly what it sounds like. Like the top end has no oil at all then after not even two seconds its is a quiet as it can possibly be and there is no more...

yes, it is quite odd.. sounds almost like a motor without any oil at first, maybe for only two second max, then as quiet as the day it was manufactured...? Ill have to check that clearence out soon.....

Are these k20z1 known for maybe bad oil pumps? At start up there is just a moment of harsh chatter, VERY loud!! Any ideas? Sounds like main bearing chatter or something horrible, but after a second...

of all the b series how do they all rank? any combination of block or heads better than another so I should pretty much rule out the use of the h22. thank you for your input silverEK!
