Re: 97 Civic DX coupe MTX - Project Girlfriend's Car

The reason there's so many colors is because that's the only color a lot of those parts came in. I wouldn't have any blue in the engine bay if it weren't for the Gates and NGK parts. Those wires only...

As the title states I'm looking for a set of 96-00 EX/Si steering knuckles for the front right and left, preferably with hub and bearing still attached as well as brake dust shield. Also looking for...

Re: 97 DX Coupe - swapping to rear disc and bigger front disc, what's needed?

Lines are ordered along with the trailing arm bushings now. At this point I'm searching around for the EP3 caliper brackets. I think I've got my pads and rotors picked out as well.

I was able to...

Re: Upgrading pads, rotors, and swapping to stainless lines, suggestions wanted!

Alright, even more researching.

I was able to figure out that R1 Concepts rotors are actually Centric rotors. Their brake pads are Posi-Quiet brake pads that are listed on their website. Using...

Re: 97 Civic DX coupe MTX - Project Girlfriend's Car

That will bring everyone up to speed where I'm currently at.

Right now I'm balls deep in a brake upgrade as well as re-doing the rest of the body. Brake upgrade consists of Integra GSR 10.3"...

Re: 97 Civic DX coupe MTX - Project Girlfriend's Car

Now, a little explanation for things.

Since it's a gas mileage daily driver I didn't feel it worth the time or money to replace the fuel pump, fuel rail, FPR, fuel lines, or change the fuel map....

97 Civic DX coupe MTX - Project Girlfriend's Car

Well, a little back story quick. Car was purchased about 3 years ago. My girlfriend needed a reliable daily driver that was good on gas to get her through college and then some. We found the car at a...

Re: Upgrading pads, rotors, and swapping to stainless lines, suggestions wanted!

Alright, I've been doing some digging here.

Now, when I ordered brakes for my Passat I purchased them through R1Concepts.com. This was the best place to get the rotors that I wanted as I couldn't...

Re: Upgrading pads, rotors, and swapping to stainless lines, suggestions wanted!

Problem is that I want rotors with the e-coatings so that they don't rust in the winter. This car is driven in salt, so I'd prefer something that won't build up rust in the veins.

I'll for sure be...

Re: 97 DX Coupe - swapping to rear disc and bigger front disc, what's needed?

Alright, I started working on this project tonight.

I stripped one of the trailing arms down to just the arms and trailing arm bushings. Going to take the rotor/bearing/spindle apart so I can get...

Re: Upgrading pads, rotors, and swapping to stainless lines, suggestions wanted!

Alright, so I've done some more researching on this.

I'm pretty much set on using the Hawk Performance Ceramics at this point. The car doesn't get driven that aggressively, so lower dust and...

Re: 97 DX Coupe - swapping to rear disc and bigger front disc, what's needed?

So, another bit up an update here.

For anyone who's gone looking for cheaper disc hub/bearing assemblies - there's a solution. If any of you have checked on eBay they go for much cheaper than in...

Upgrading pads, rotors, and swapping to stainless lines, suggestions wanted!

I'm currently in the process of swapping to GSR front disc brakes and EP3 rear disc brakes on my 97 Civic DX coupe. I need to purchase new pads and rotors and brake lines for this setup. The pads and...

Re: 97 DX Coupe - swapping to rear disc and bigger front disc, what's needed?

Yea, I understand what you mean about just using the complete Integra setup. There aren't any issues with using the 94-01 Integra front and rear discs. I'm not quite sure why BrakeExpert recommends...

Re: 97 DX Coupe - swapping to rear disc and bigger front disc, what's needed?

Yes, they do require a small bit of modification to make them fit properly, but it's minimal. The reason I'm using them is because I was able to score a set of Integra cables for extremely cheap...

Re: Parts on order, getting list together for new mods!

At this point I'm researching the Integra brake upgrade and what I all need to get it done. I've got the calipers, brackets, e-brake cables, rear trailing arms, rear hub/bearing assemblies, and a few...

Re: 97 DX Coupe - swapping to rear disc and bigger front disc, what's needed?

Alright, I just looked it up and seeing that EM1 rear hub/bearings will work as the Integra RS uses the same. Here's my updated list for the rears:

94-01 Integra rear trailing arm
Re-use stock...

Re: 97 DX Coupe - swapping to rear disc and bigger front disc, what's needed?

Alright, I figured as much.

Also, my next question. I should be fine using the GSR rear hub/bearing correct? I'm thinking of replacing them with new ones while I have the rear trailing arms off...

Re: 97 DX Coupe - swapping to rear disc and bigger front disc, what's needed?

So, you say I'll have camber issues. I happen to have the Blox front upper control arms. Can this camber issue be easily adjusted or will it change it too much? If it can be easily fixed with the...

Re: Parts on order, getting list together for new mods!

Finished re-undercoating the underside of the car on Saturday so it's all ready for this winter. All I'm doing now is driving it to work on any kinks with the suspension before I call it a day on...

Re: 97 DX Coupe - swapping to rear disc and bigger front disc, what's needed?

Yea, I'm just debating buying new wheel bearings anyways, that way I'm installing fresh ones and won't need to go back later and tear the car apart when one goes out. At this point I'll most likely...
