94 accord overheats, while just idleling

Well my 94 accord non v tech, overheats while its in idle, but never while on the freeway, usually the resevouir boils, and has major steam coming out, but not out the radiator, the thermostat...

the enigine is stock, recently changed the spark plugs NGK IDIUM, and wires never changed them since got the car a year ago...oil changed recently about to 2 weeks ago...STOCK engine, auto tranny..

Well my car is running kind of slow then normal, and has about 214,000 , my mechanic checked the timing belt, and its looks good, just under slow accel, its sluggish ...

Strong gas smell from the injector area.

Well i changed the valve cover seal about a month ago, and now i have 3 tubes with oil, i took the spark plug out and covered in fresh oil, is there any DIY thread on changing the o rings seals? or...

is cleaning the iacv a difficult job? the screws and bolts look tricky.

Ok thanks adam!, I cleaned the egr ports on my accord today and were plugged up, feels a bit better now, is there any other thing i can do or clean on engine that could improve the performance?
