Re: Got the iabs working with the p28 (Katman)

It's way more of an improvement. I had the iabs open the whole time I got my swap, and it bogged really bad. Now it not only feels like a flat power curve, but vtech comes on way smoother and linear...

Got the iabs working with the p28

Just letting you guys know that the iab's on a stock gsr intake manifold can easily be activated through a relay that is powered by the vtech solenoid. Obviously, the only downside is that the iab's...

Bad idle surge, running really rich, code 14 on an lsvtec

After tons of fitment problems, I got to finally crank it, and it was billowing smoke from unburnt fuel. It set off a code 14, but I know the iacv is good because I was using it two days ago, but...

Re: Setting the rev limmiter on ls/vtec (tripledubz)

That's what I am thinking. I was told by so many people that it is safe to take it to 7,200, and a few said 7,400, but I don't want to risk my bottom end over a couple hundred rpm's you know? It's in...

Setting the rev limmiter on ls/vtec

I am putting a gsr head on my car next week and I need to know what to set the rev limiter at. I have done some reading here and there about the rod bolts stretching around 7,000 rpm's. I don't have...

The code 43 paradox

Not really much of a paradox, but I have read that alcohol does not damage 02 sensors and I was steam cleaning my motor with some alcohol by misting it into the throttlebody, and although it runs...

Re: NEED HELP on LS swaps EXHAUST SYSTEM in 94 civic!! (Lee_eg6si)

So you have stock exhaust on an ls swap?

If that's the case, then I would just buy some exhaust pipe from a muffler shop with all the nessesary flanges, gaskets, hangers and bends and do a custom...

Re: (snowseeker)

I tried to re-do it again today, but no luck. It looks almost dead on, but there is definitly still something off. As far as power goes, it has a surge of midrange torque between 4,000-5,500, and...

Timing off by 1/2 tooth due to head milling (need advice from expert on engine combustion)

OK, I bought this b18b motor for my civic a while back and it never ran right. The cam timing was off everytime. So, after a while, I came to notice that no matter which way I would set the cam...

Also, what about the fuel pump? Do I need to upgrade or rewire it or anything?

Questioning the strength of an Ls bottom end

I bought a b18b to put in my 94 civic ex because I spun a rod bearing with my d16. Here is my question. This motor has a 123,000 miles on it, and allthough it is clean, and it runs good, the guy who...
