Tightening alternator belts

how do you tighten the alternator belt? what is all needed?

what about the other belts same?

i know its suppose to be a breeze.

You have to losen the 14mm bolt, which gives it tension then you tighten the bolt again?

when i start the car it makes a screeching noise but when i give it a little push of gas it stops.

thanks, yea i will probably just go oem.. it did last 8 years.. hah. the cost for aftermarket isnt really necessary since it a dd.

Radiator has a crack! thinking if i should just get oem koyo replacement for 120$ or mashimoto/koyo whichever i can find the best deal on...

car is just a daily stock. should i just go oem or...

yesterday filled the radiator reserve up..today drove the car parked it in the drive way (10min parked) backed it up and saw coolant substance on the driveway.

pop the hood dont see any fluid on...

stock tires 195-55-15 but 205-50-15 works?

tires for 99 gsr are 195-55-15.
i have read on the forums that 205-50-15 will work as well, can someone please confirm this--
also car is lowered..

Well looks like I will switch to synthetic on the next change...

is there anything needed to do to switch? ie change it w/ synth and then run it for 1500 then put fresh synth in it?

Burning smell from brakes/rotors

i am thinking this smell is related to needing new brakes? it is like a burnt plastic smell...

can worn break pads cause vibration when braking? i believe rotors can cause this but what if the rotors are good.. then can the brakes?
