I'm not sure why you're smacking your forehead over that...the bracket was cut, made skinnier and then welded back together before it was painted to accommodate one light instead of the original two....

Looks good! That sucks about the glass...

Just my opinion, but blacked out OEM headlights would look sweet on there! Especially with a retro :D.
