So if i bolt up the d15b7 dizzy, and the motor was running fine previously in a different car with different dizzy, it should be fine? Awesome! thanks!

I have cranked it with the cover off..didn't see anything out of the ordinary. Everything was running as it should.

If you read what I wrote..it's coming from under the valve cover. And it's not a tick, it's a LOT louder than than.

no..same knocking noise the whole time. just faster or slower with rpm.

compression is good on all cylinders. put everything back together..started it up..didn't die. the knocking noise is RIGHT under the valve cover..almost sounds like its hitting the valve...

I pulled off the valve cover already and pulled the plugs. turned it over..all the valves/rocker arm/springs moving as they should. nothing looked out of place. im going to be taking off the...

Okay, so i started my del sol d16z6 and heard a metal on metal grind which i thought was from the under the car, maybe from the exhaust hangers. disregarded it until i started driving down the road....

still nothing..i can't find any vacuum leaks..well not yet atleast. are there any spots that cause more vacuum leaks than others? I had to change the IAT sensor on the back of the intake manifold...

and just put that in a spray bottle? ill maybe try that today. any areas that might be more likely to have a leak? i checked the brake booster hose that connects to the intake manifold..took it...

well..the coolant bleed didn't change anything. its got to be a vacuum leak, but i don't know where. I was told not to spray carb cleaner to find a leak..what would be the best to use?

bled the coolant system. not sure if that fixed it, since i took off my tps and map sensor it was running weird. then turned off the car and started it again and no CEL and no rough idle. I hope...
