P0420 Code - Catalytic Converter or O2 Sensor?

The car (2010 Accord 4 cylinder) has about 130k miles on it and a while ago a P0420 code was set. I cleared it and all was well. Now 10k miles later the P0420 code has been set again. There are two...

Re: How-To: Replace Timing Belt, Timing Balancer Belt and Water Pump on a F22B1

Hmmm, I didn't think there was any space behind the timing belt pulley to get the arms of a puller there. Not unless there's such a thing as a puller that can grab the pulley on its side? Is there a...

Re: How-To: Replace Timing Belt, Timing Balancer Belt and Water Pump on a F22B1

OK, so a screwdriver worked. I believe I have just learned that even an 88-cent screwdriver is made of stronger steel than a 72-cent grade 5 bolt (the bolt is only partially threaded, mind you.) I...

Re: How-To: Replace Timing Belt, Timing Balancer Belt and Water Pump on a F22B1

Actually I'm referring to the *front* balance shaft. There is a 1/4" hole through which one can insert something to hold it while removing the pulley nut. That nut is very tight! I've tried several...

Re: How-To: Replace Timing Belt, Timing Balancer Belt and Water Pump on a F22B1

OK I'll give the PB Blaster a try on the timing belt drive pulley.

It's difficult to imagine that the balancer belt and tensioner would be able to hold that front balancer shaft steady enough...

Re: How-To: Replace Timing Belt, Timing Balancer Belt and Water Pump on a F22B1

For the F22B2 I have the timing and balancer belts off and would like to replace the crankshaft seal. I assume it's behind the timing belt drive pulley (#17 in the diagram here)

96 Accord LX (F22B2) - Seals Replacement with Timing Belt

I'll soon be doing a timing belt service. Which seals do I need to replace? I seem to have gleaned from the posts here that the camshaft, front crankshaft, and balancer shaft seals should be...

96 Accord LX Codes P1361/P1362/P0335

I've been getting the codes P1361/P1362 every several months. These are related to the crankshaft position/TDC sensor behind the crankshaft pulley. I reset them with a code reader and all is fine for...

Re: 5th Gen Radiator and thermostat install and how-to

If you have an automatic I suggest you disconnect the two small AT hoses not at the radiator connections (leave them attached there) but at the connections that are higher up in the engine bay. So...

Re: Koyo Radiators OK for 96 Accord 4AT?

Oops, the OEM Denso equivalent is Toyo, not Koyo. But I'd still like to hear comments on the Koyo as those seem widely available.

Koyo Radiators OK for 96 Accord 4AT?

Has anyone had any experience with Koyo radiators for a 96 4AT Accord? They are apparently OEM (with Denso). I know this because the Honda repair manual mentions the two by name. Apparently some 96...
