Here is something to think about as well. I know on my 96 integra I changed my timing belt and I also had a whining sound comming from the engine bay, but it wasn't the timing belt making the noise:...

From my experience....
The spec says ~91 in/lbs of torque or so but if you tighten your bolts with this spec, you will end up with a cracked gasket located at the upper left hand portion of the oil...

I am trying to change my timing belt, however, I seem to have some problem getting the tension correct. It ends up too loose and everytime I try to install it moves the cam sprockets off the TDC Can...
