Re: ZC means 1.6L D series

It is the "black top" or "3rd gen" version. Aside from the "black" valve cover, the easiest way to distinguish is by the valve cover, the Honda H is over the exhaust cam and the valve cover bolts...

Re: Getting my ED7 BAR'D, What will Work??

You put it in and use a jumper harness BUT...

I read somewhere that earlier this year they no longer allow jumper harnesses. You should check with your local referee to verify. It would suck...

Re: D15b7/d16z6 mini me cam timing issue

No worries I was just wondering if I missed something. I've been wanting to provide a pictorial AND mathematical explanation of why the difference exists for probably more than a decade now. It'll...

Re: DSMinime???

D15 blocks are 207mm, D16 are 212mm. Not the same, will need to compensate for the timing difference.

You swapped heads, did you use the matching cam shaft and cam gear to the new head? Mix and...

Re: Difficulty going into 5th gear from 4th

Fifth gear has it's own shift fork so it would make sense that it's the only gear with an issue. Probably not what you want to hear but like most transmission problems you really have to take it...

Re: D15/b8 piston id

Did you see any alphanumeric code on them? Willing to bet it says PM3 as "TomCat39" stated.

I don't recall much functional difference between them. You can look on an automotive site such as...

Re: D16Y8 Seized Camshaft

First thing I'd do is take it apart and assess the damage first hand. At least this way you can determine what actually needs to be replaced rather than guessing. Having said that, a complete head...

Re: Change Final drive d16a9

Final drives are interchangeable with the Si transmission found in the states. With that said, you can do that or use an aftermarket final drive set meant for the Si.

Re: Strange noise at rev limiter

Are you sure it's a "hiss" and not a "whiz" sound? My car used to do that a very long time ago and it eventually evolved into a crunchy sound that turned out to be a bad input shaft bearing,

Re: Best engine and transmission swap?

There is no best. All have advantages and disadvantages which will vary depending on the person's viewpoint. At the very least throw a budget out there if your intent is to "race" with it, maybe...

Re: H-techs VS Eibach Pro kit preference

Any name brand spring will give you what you're looking for. Koni str.t I've heard are basically stock replacements so if possible try to get some extended top hats so at least they're allowed to...

Re: d16y8 with y7 block vitara pistons and eagle rods

It's probably those pistons since you'll be under 8:1 compression ratio if everything else is indeed stock.

I'm with "2x0" on this for that amount to leak out. Are you sure you replaced them with the correct type? Humor me/us and pull the fuel rail with the injectors off the manifold but leave the...

Re: Simple Question (Hopefully)

Off the top of my head, the engine/transmission with axles and the ECU. You should modify the existing wiring harness on the Civic to work on the Integra engine BUT I'd say keep the wiring harness...

Re: Any advice?

Technically no, it's just that way from the factory. Back in the day it used to be common place to install breather on the valve cover at that location.

Re: Compensator Arm Substitution

Me too but wanted to be clear. If it is the toe arm, Hardrace has adjustables for about $100/pair. You get adjustability plus new bushings if you're willing to go that route.

Re: 88 civic check engine, oil and battery come on

I can vouch for learning to replace them quickly. Those autozone ones are hit or miss and I'd lean on mostly miss. I will say the very last one I installed on my car has been on there for a few...
