What is the extended warranty on the emmision test.? am i being cheated by American Honda. Someone told it was 14 yrs 150 K but american honda tells me its 8yrs 80K only.

Which one is true? My...

I was told that 97 honda is covered under 14 yrs, 150 K warranty for emissions, but when I called up american honda, they told me its 8yrs, 80K... any one know anythign about it?
any help, my cat's...

Have a 97 honda civic lx. and my "maintenance required" light turned from green to orange/red. Any one know what that means?

Tranny/Clutch/Axles? Somethigns bad

Hey guys, need to find out what might be wrong with my 97 Honda Civic, LX

Rencetly when i shift in 1st and 2nd and let go of the clutch, or sometimes just press teh gas pedal, there is this noise...

Slave clutch cylinder

I found that I have a leak somewhere in the slave cylinder. I bleive its a simple job to change this, but anythign I need to make sure before I change it. any help is appreciated

this is the problem..
couple of weeks back, my clutch lost all power,, wont work, all of a sudden, I find out no oil in the master cylinder....

there is no testing in florida at all... thats why i was thinking maybe i can just gut it out..
anyways... i guess i can try taking in to a honda dealer..
what happens if i dont change my cat...

So do i Just go in to the honda shop and tell them my cat seems to be giving me prob and so check what might be wrong with it. casue i dont have any warranty info or anythign on them...

I thougt it was the cat that had gone bad and needed to change that? now i am totally confused.. i have already changed the sensor that is before the engine.. so only the second one is remaining......

OK let me look around for a cat converter.. and see how much it goes.. for... also might go ahed and do it my self.. ITs an LX model... but all things point towards the converter and not the O2...

I took it to AutoZone and it gives me a P0420 (i dont exactly remember) but the code description was
" Catalytic Efficiency below threshold level on Bank 1"

I already changed the front oxygen...

Am new here... and just getting in to cars

have a 97 honda civic and engine lights keep coming on. first it was normal tuning.. had that done. then front oxygen sensor... now i need to find out...
