Isn't the SRS service connector the yellow one under the dash on the driver's side? I've never heard of one inside the steering wheel.

Perhaps the trim levels were different in Canada... much like we have an SiR, you have the Si. The Si trim level never dissapeared in Canada much like it did in the US for a couple of years...

I'm pretty sure you didn't need a whole new dizzy, it was probably just component related. Did it come with a new coil and ignitor? Cap and rotor?
