Yes, you'll probably have to be creative here. In some cases, you can use a high adhesive bonding agent to attach a small piece of MDF or other type of mounting bracket to your car trunk's interior...

Typically you screw them to a mounting point on the car by reaching through the speaker hole...then obviously put the speaker in the box.

Vasoline will help. Paint, resin, etc...doesn't stick to vasoline. You will still have to sand a little.

D-Tuned had a 100% stock LS with an SC61. Made 327 if I remember correctly. Beat the hell out of the car with no problems, but only had that motor for a month or so before the big motor went back...
