try PB blaster. its a penetrating oil instead of a lubricant hopefully it works. otherwise use 1/2 ratchet and a pipe it shouldnt be on there too tight.

i would never use a thinner headgasket. a thicker one sure but never a thinner one. and if you are really serious about raising compression to get more power why not look into different gear ratios...

it would be hard tightening the bolts back to spec anyway, i just use an old timing belt have one guy hold the timing belt while someone else torques the nut...strap wrench? save your 20dollars use...

i would think something is draining the battery if the battery is good. maybe check the alternator connections. maybe some ground wires. check em!
