Steering rack play, replace or fixable?

90 civic EF dx (dont think it really matters) with 200k...

Issue is I can turn the wheel and it does not turn the wheels, checked all the univeral joints, tie rods and what not. It seems the like...

Looks kind of normal for those old style of head gaskets.

Also looks like you have been leaking a lot of oil, for a long time.

Yea that is kind what I have ended up doing, AEM EMS is so much easier sometime, but not wanting to double the cost of the car...

Would be nice if the check engine light came one to know it is...

Yes already swapped to a PR4 obd0 ecu, which is the factory ecu for engine swapped into car.

Not sure why I would need to swap to OBD1 and hondata just to set factory timing, trying to keep one...

91 EF, new dizzy, b18a motor but everything still OBD0 no hacked up harness (from what I can tell)

Not my first honda, but this one seems to be weird, maybe I am missing something. First OBD0 car...

braking into turn one is all about how long can you keep you foot on the gas before hard on the brakes, mainly hoping...

depends on a lot of things... you could fit 30in slicks or you may only be able to fix 10in slicks

$16k does not seem bad to build a car, if only people realized that even a fairly simple/solid build is not cheap.

Gauges for track, take blue painters tape and cover all of them.

Warning light for Oil pressure, oil temp and water temp. if crazy get a shift light.

I guess it is all who puts on the race, most of the ones I have been to as long as you fit into a Tin Top Class in SCCA/NASA/PCA ect, they have a class for you. Also I will admin I have not raced...

ITE would be the class for SCCA, kind of the catch all class.

It is like FB (wings and things) for formula cars.

I have no issues with swapping brake rotors every few events, that is tons of VALUE to me... Have had the same rotor warranty since like 2000, somehow I only paid for 1 set ever but I have 3 sets now.
