A car in that condition, I would just leave in OEM form and drive it as is, unmolested ones are getting more rare by the day. I'd trade you my beater red one with a ton of cash for that if you were...

how bad are the tires? I have a set of fat fives with ziex 912's that have plenty of tread life on them (used for maybe 5K miles).

fenders alone, done right, will put you behind budget if you only plan on spending $200-300. If you're planning to keep the wheels you have now, based on a quick glance, it doesnt even look like...

interested in knowing what turns out to be the cause, similar issue on my d15 but I still haven't cleaned my IACV or EGR, nor changed my spark plugs so I guess I should start there.

that's pretty much what I can offer right now in cash too. $400 without caps or tires is literally twice the amount the set on craigslist is currently asking for right now over in pittsburg/antioch....

always open to offers, the car is a clean title and not too sure you can find these cars with this type of mileage on them anymore. I'm open to negotiate with a serious buyer with cash in hand!
