The staging brake works in a way that when its not being activated, the line remains normal, and is actuated by the brake pedal

Fuel Injected Engines:
up to 1300 HP - naturally aspirated
up to 1000 HP - forced air induction
Carbureted Engines:
up to 1500 HP - naturally...
