Re: 1992 Accord Achieving Best Gas Mileage

I appreciate your reply and you seem to be a fountain of knowledge, but it's a little over my head. Are you basically saying to slowly accelerate and keep it steady and around 40mph?

Re: 1992 Accord Failed Emissions High NOX

Just the EGR valve base. I read the FAQs on there and the EGR port cleaning is pretty involved and is best left up to to a shop. I've emailed some shops to ask the costs of both EGR port cleaning and...

Re: 1992 Accord ABS Light

Thanks for the info. I'm still curious as to what that hard disk drive looking box is behind the trunk linking on the right side of the trunk in front of the jack?

Re: 1992 Accord ABS Light

I had the ABS light tested and it came back as code 1, pump motor over-run. I pulled back the lining in the trunk on the right side near the jack and came upon what I think is the ABS control module...

Well, I had the oxygen sensor changed (the original looked bad), the pcv valve changed (the original wasn't clicking and looked caked) and the EGR valve cleaned (lots of gunk) and I passed the...

Re: 1992 Accord Failed Emissions High NOX

I'l try cleaning it. The car has new spark plugs and spark plug wires and a recent Sea-foam treatment. Since I need to provide receipts to substantiate repairs (can't get a receipt for just...

Re: 1992 Accord Air Conditioning

The A/C is still cool and not ice cold in the summer. In the winter, the air conditioning feels cold, but not meat locker cold like a 1980's GM car would feel. My grandma had a 1988 Accord years ago...

My 1992 Honda Accord failed the emission test today for a too high NOX reading. The applicable standard is 2.50 and my car's reading was 2.61. I've read that high NOX has something to do with a...

Dusty Engine Bay

My 1992 Accord has a dusty engine bay and I'm afraid to use any engine cleaner that you need to spray down with a hose for fear of damaging sensitive electrical components. I don't have grease, oil...

Re: Any Idea what this is worth?

I'm asking the same question about my car--a 1992 Honda Accord EX with 45,000 original miles. Make sure you replace the timing belt because age deteriorates it as well as mileage. Also, be sure to...

Re: 92 Honda Accord Possible Trans Problem (hondadude)

Just an update. The car now goes into neutral in all gears. No D4 light blinking, and a false positive reading on the TCU of 15. The Honda repair shop is going to replace the shift control solenoids...
