Re: B Series top mount compatible with power steering?

Hell, I still want power steering. Plan to keep it that way as well.. From what I remember, the Go-Autoworks model still allowed for power steering, but you may want to contact Greg to confirm.

Re: AFI Headers Stud Size

Co-sign. From one of the AFI manifolds I had like that, it was indeed a 10mm x 1.25 pitch at about 16mm length that went through the T3 or T4 flange to the turbine inlet. But this was according to...

Re: 97 accord swap options.

If Strictly racecar, get a K-series, while parts availability is still there. If occasionally racecar, then rebuild the H-series and enjoy.

Re: Question about oil pump

Safe enough to where you won't need to worry about 9000rpms. (No matter what you do to the head). You won't need shims or ports or anything for that kind of power.

Re: H22 stock vs turbo cams rpm

No. Just the Tuner 2s. At that rate you might as well keep the Pro1s, or Stock. It truly depends upon the size of the turbocharger used. Not the housings, not the A/Rs, but the compressor/exhaust...

Re: Is the headgasket still good?

Yeah, that's been going on for a few years.. And it's funny that when you advise them that their instructions are not the case, they actually take the information in stride, and go.. "oh, really?".....

Re: Recommendations on OBD II scanners / code readers that read Honda PGM-FI DATA LIS

Yeah.. I forgot to mention that. My anti-viral software found that as soon as I was about to link to it. I'm talking with a buddy now that has a similar system with good Win7/10 software already...

Re: Is the headgasket still good?

Like anything else, there are good and bad products made from differing materials. Again, not judging. I have to say, I personally have had the OEM HG fail, but that was due to another issue, not...

Re: Is the headgasket still good?

First part, I agree... Second part... Well. I'll say this.. I'd never thought I'd hear that suggestion...But I suppose it's best for me to remain silent.

Re: B18c1 Turbo oil catch can question.

Yeah. I'm getting pretty tired when it comes to this since COVID. I've been really busy with other work outside of the automotive world that I'm about at the point that I want to just really finish...

Re: B18c1 Turbo oil catch can question.

I think it's a bit overkill but, he'd be ok with over a 1.2bar with that setup. I just don't like the emptying. I mean, that method being shown works, but remember, the original intent of the big...

Re: B18c1 Turbo oil catch can question.

I know it's been a while since I've even posted, and I'm sure my comments are given a pretty small grain of salt, these days, but I do co-sign to both of these statements.. Especially when it comes...

I'll find out. Sorry that I didn't see this earlier. Haven't been here in a while. I have no idea what's going on, so I'll need to investigate from scratch..

Re: Bottlefedz28's 98 Turbo GS-R project.

No one rebuilds the Koni shocks. Even back in the day when you had an RMA to turn them in to be repaired/reconditioned, they kept those parts pretty close to the chest. If you know where you can get...

Re: Inconel studs for turbo and head?????

Again, no. The turbine housing and and manifold still don't see the same temperatures as the turbine wheel itself sees. You'd think it'd be pretty damn close to the 1600-1800*F that the turbine wheel...

Re: Inconel studs for turbo and head?????

I don't see the point for inconel-treated manifold studs. Those don't reach anywhere near the temperatures that turbine exhaust wheels see. And I have a set of the ARP manifold studs. Nice stuff,...

Re: Oil Return Line Flange

Yes. Most of these are aluminium, but it looks like that cracked developed from using a brass fitting that wasn't a proper match thread for that flange, or used too much force. If you want to be...
