Re: Goldiewang's K20A Swapped TR3030R "VelociRaptor" Project Build

I think he's planning to put the whole K series turbo motor with an AWD trans from a CRV or Element into the Wagovan.

I had a Wagovan that I set up as RWD with the D16Z6 and an Eaton M62...

Re: dry sump and mounting angles

The stock lean angle is about 13 degrees. If you're going dry sump, get an extra stage or 2 on your pump and scavenge directly from the exhaust side of the valve cover. I think that'd be far easier...

re: Questions on the several "right" & many "wrong" ways to run a Honda Catch can

The fitting does not need to be a straight fitting. They make 90 degree fittings. But then it's been a long time since I eyeballed the clearance between a B series valve cover and the bottom of a...

re: Questions on the several "right" & many "wrong" ways to run a Honda Catch can

And the best way to greatly limit the amount of oil that gets sloshed into your fittings on the valve cover (in addition to making sure they're behind a baffle) is to weld them onto the top of the...

Re: K20 Sheepy sidewinder T4 divided manifold: What's coming up

Anxious to see how your build compares to my TS EFR7163 build. My power goals are very similar, but (and I hope I'm not disappointed) I'm after lower RPM torque as well.

Re: Cam alignment - B18c bottom, B16 head, GSR cams

What cams are they? Might be a compatibility issue with woodruff keys not being in the appropriate place.

Re: Goldiewang's K20A Swapped TR3030R "VelociRaptor" Project Build

I might be wrong, but my research has shown me that my 7163 has a 63mm turbine wheel whereas the TR3030R in .63 trim (GT3076R) has a 60mm turbine wheel. Would those two numbers be sufficiently close...

Re: Goldiewang's K20A Swapped TR3030R "VelociRaptor" Project Build

You're right. I did google and looked at several results, but that video was the key. I can't view Youtube on a work computer, but once I got home and watched it I saw (heard) that the TR3030R is...

Re: Goldiewang's K20A Swapped TR3030R "VelociRaptor" Project Build

I'm primarily interested in what "lbs per min" of air the turbo might be rated for. I'm seeing a lot of "477whp at 17psi" and other data reports that give me a bit of an idea what I could expect, and...

Re: Goldiewang's K20A Swapped TR3030R "VelociRaptor" Project Build

Just curious if there is any flow data for this turbocharger. I am interested to see what the flow rating is to compare where I might be with the turbo I have chosen to go with my K20 build.

re: ***The Official JRSC Thread

Hydrocarbons is unburnt fuel. You're too rich at idle. Either that or your cat is on it's way out. 3rd possibility is that your O2 sensor is failing.

Too lean, and you get high NO2.
