Default scammed by Blacksi76 in St. Johns NL for $525

bought a dry sleeved h22 block, crank and arp mains from him.
the sleeves are sunk and mis-aligned and i cant fix it because the block has already been decked .050"+ and would require a new sleeve and another heavy decking of nearly .050".
the block was not as described and he told me he would refund me.
he has cut all communication with me. blocked my phone numbers and all.
if anyone is in the st.johns NL area that could talk to him for me and resolve this it would be appreciated.

i have pics of the proof of how screwed this block is.

his info:
Kristian AXXXXXXXX
email: inshaXXXX@hotmail.com
cell: 1-709-XXX-XXXX
his parents home phone : 1-709-XXX-XXXX
his parents address: 142 XXXXXXXXXXXXXX Saint Johns, NL A1B 3M5

i will remove all the contact info once i get my money back.

thanks,
jack nichols

That's messed up. This is why I don't buy from individuals over the net anymore. Sucks that guys like this are killing the resale market for parts.

Op-I hope this guy becomes a man and fixes this for you.

I sold this guy a perfectly good H22A closed seck, sleeved block for $400 + shipping which came with the crank, mains, and a set of ARP main studs. I told him the block had come right out of my car that made 373HP, and 360TQ, and it had less than 3000km on it since it was built. Via Text message, I told him the block had been decked 3 times and that the sale was " as is " and that was it. Like any new engine build, I told him he would have to have the block lightly resurfaced and the cylinders re-honed, although they were in good condition. This guy didn't even know the difference between an open-deck and a closed deck block!! After he recieved the block, he wrote me telling me he wanted to make a 600+hp drag car, and that this block would be no good for that and he wanted his money back. If you want to build a motor that can withstand 600+HP, what in the Hell are you doing buying a used block that had been decked 3 times previously????? Suck it up like everyone else and go get a real Block from Golden Eagle or Laskey racing somewhere that is built to take that kind of abuse!!!! This situation has to do with a guy who never did his research properly, bought an engine block I had for sale that was perfectly good, decided once the transaction had already taken place that he now wanted to build a 600+HP Drag car, and is now sooky because I don't wanna give him a refund!!! I have much better things to spend my money on than shipping a 100lb engine block back and forth across North America!!! You could have that block resurfaced, and run a slightly higher compression H22A build, install a set of cam gears, and have the cams degreed or use a thicker HeadGasket and run the stock compression and use that block for an other 100,000 miles on it!! Thats the Bottom line, next time, do your research and stop harrassing me on this site!!! I am not a parts dealer of any kind, but I did sell a bunch of high quality parts on this website that I had laying around and every single person that bought from me got a great deal, and awesome parts, with Zero Complaints!!!

From your For Sale Thread - "ok the block was assembled and sleeved by Driveline Machine Shop in St. John's, NL, the sleeves are LA Ductile Iron sleeves, and they are dry sleeves...the block is a 95 H22A closed deck block, it has been decked twice, and as we speak its on the engine stand in my house fully intact with the pistons, crank etc still in it, the pistons are wiseco 8.4:1 low compression pistons, one of them has a little damage ( cyl 1 ) from some detonation from some bad tuning, but the sleeves are in perfect shape."

So, was it decked twice, or 3 times like you said in this thread? Sunken sleeves aren't "in perfect shape".

And you SHOULD know that a sleeved h22 block is easily good for 600+hp.

i can post screen shots of texts on my phone if need be.
you told me that it had been decked twice lightly. .050" is lightly???
also i made it very clear in the beginning that i would be pushing 500+ out of it.
im not going to mickey mouse with my cam gears and not run the pistons that i originally wanted to run to make up for an overly decked garbage block.
one sleeve is sunk .010" and there is still a .015" gap at the bottom of the sleeve before it even will sit flush with the block.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE DATES ON THE SCREEN SHOTS ARE FROM BEFORE PAYMENT WAS SENT.
THE FIRST PIC WAS 3/4/11
THE SECOND PIC WAS 3/5/11 (THE DAY I SENT PAYMENT)
THE LAST PIC IS FROM WHEN I SENT HIM NUMEROUS COMPELLING PICS OF THE IMPERFECTIONS IN THE BLOCK AND HE AGREED TO REFUND ME 3/22/11

well, staff is bringing this thread back because you are a liability on this forum. nothing you can do about it - the OP is no longer in control of this thread.

good luck.

here is what happened and why the thread was brought back to light:

blacksi76 told the OP (we have the proof) that if the OP had the thread removed, blacksi76 would provide a refund via paypal. so, as a test, we removed the thread...and of course, blacksi76 did not follow through on his blackmail attempt.

blacksi76 claims he's "not a forum guy", but we have proof that he is a scammer

you (anyone) can tell if you click on his profile. it will say when he logged in last.

and yes, we will be made aware if he makes a new account. the platform has functions built in to alert us.

Its better to deal with someone with more post... although that cant be insurance that he wont be a scammer... I just personally feel more confident with someone whose been on the forums longer... I cant veiw his last login date either
