Default Calling BrakeExpert, AKA Scammer

Hi, I do mean to make this public since I got scammed by him. I've been waiting 2 months for my complete purchase from him. He doesn't seem to respond to my PM's or emails with a timely manner and doesn't provide answers or information. I have proof of PM's and emails.

I don't understand why he hasn't been banned since I'm not the only one he has done this to.

Anyways, buyer beware.

There's a proper forum for this. This forum is dedicated to technical discussions.

Not really. Again, it's a tech forum. This post isn't tech. It's commerce.

I've waited 2 months, I'd wait longer for a reason. But without any sort of answers it's bs. I have paitence but I've lost it now. I see him login into HT, and not respond to PM's. That's a bitch move. I came here for help, his thread is the first thread on this forum. I apologize to the mods. I don't see why he hasn't been banned yet after doing some research on him. If he had been banned for what happened to you, I wouldn't have found him and lost money and time.

Claims been filed in time but don't expect anything to come of it. I've never had a problem buying stuff online or from here for over 10 years. I'd rather just have the parts I bought. He shipped half the order and then disappeared.

I got a quote from him last year for an S2k big brake kit, did a little research and a few to many "slow" shipping threads came up with unhappy people. I went elsewhere.

Best of luck

He was actually banned from HT for a while...I have no clue who unbanned him and for what reason. He's a nice enough guy, very willing to share the knowledge he has, but handles customer service extremely poorly, and usually has plenty of excuses. Is he living in PA now? I thought he was from Georgia. Maybe I'm thinking of someone else...or he moved...

Well, today I received my money back from PayPal reversal so all isn't lost.

I don't understand why you can continue to scam people without being banned. If he was banned, I wouldn't have found him and lost time dealing with this for the past 2 months. I guarantee you this will happen to someone else as long as his name is on a sticky on the first page of the suspension forum and continues to have a for sale ad.

My thoughts exactly, i wonder if they can just ban him from selling. cuz his info is leaps and bounds better than others.

I wish hed just handle the selling process 100% better. ITd be such a relief

Almost a year later, still scamming people. Just received a PM from someone else that was scammed asking for help. The user could be banned, the content can remain in place. But this forum isn't interested in moderating anything.

Which user was scammed? Right now, I see a bunch of hearsay... but it could all be factual. The tricky part is in proving that its not just someone venting hostility towards BrakeExpert, and trying to get him banned illegitimately. If its credible information, then the user will be banned without question.

I had trouble with BrakeExpert back in 2009.. actually had to threaten legal action to get him to send out my S2K big brake kit.

It was a shame, because he isn't a douche when you speak with him. Just takes him for ever to send things out with all sorts of odd excuses. I cautioned the ITR community from transactions with him.

I had issue with him as well. I purchased an s2k caliper and rotor kit for my 99-00 civic a couple years back. I got the rotors but no calipers. He gave me a bad tracking # and stopped responding to my PM's.

I ended up having to get a friend of mine PM him, pretend like he was interested in a kit and asked him for his phone #. My friend sent me his number and I called him directly and asked what the deal was. He was a bit surprised and caught off guard, but I did get my calipers that "USPS lost" a couple weeks later.

Hes a ****.

Sucks, he was a shady business man. he did however answer alot of questions I had regarding a hybrid setup. Glad I never went through with buying anything from him.

Best of luck resolving the issue Op

Same. FInally received my stuff like 2 months later in 2009. THen I come to find out it won't even fit under my wheels after he 100% assured me it would.
THis guy has knowledge but is ultimately a joke, IMO.

Got yanked around for months by this loser myself. HE NEEDS TO BE BANNED FROM THIS FORUM, PERIOD. There has been enough suffering in our Honda community already!! Moderators please get rid of him before others get ripped off!
