Re: (Sportmode)
They are OEM. I payed 40 bucks for each and got a set of 5. Ever since they been sitting in my garage. Now I just want to get rid of them. I have no Idea how much they are worth for those IM me "why so cheap." Shipping should be between 15-25 dollars. Also remember OEM IN IN!

Those aren't genuine ITR bars!!!
Sweet knock off design The REAL braces don't have a glossy black mounting bracket

Re: (Homer J Pimpson)
Not hijacking bro.....just setting the record straight for people.
You don't find it coincidental that the fake ITR bars have the glossy brackets too? Market rate for these bars is $90-$120. You can sell them for a quarter of what they're worth??? .........right
Its not cool to misrepresent items that you're selling.

Re: (BlueTeg)
Lol I have no Idea what its worth. I just got them and they are laying around my house. I payed 40 bucks for each one so I am losing money. I could careless though because I just want them out of my site. I gave 2 of them away already to my friends. I get stuff like this pretty much for free some times. Look at some of my auctions. On my free time I just gather up JDM goodies. I just thought I would give it to someone on HT who would enjoy it. I am not out to make money on this. Just a couple of bucks. I could careless. I dont have the time to sell it for 50-90 bucks each. I am not patient to sell them.

....bend over Susie.
Here's a pic of a "Type R strut brace" from ebay. Seems like at any given moment you can find hundreds of these "real" bars on ebay from R owners who are just giving them away.
Notice the glossy black mounting bracket
Here's a pic of a genuine Acura Type R strut tower brace. Bought this off of a local ITR owner who wanted the Spoon bar.
Notice the graphite colored bracket
And another one:

Re: (BlueTeg)
Notice the same color. The cam makes them look glossy like that. Mines is nothing like cosmos. How are you going to me if their fake. I saw them coming off an ITR front motor swap w/ the suspension.

Re: (Homer J Pimpson)
Then I'm sure you wouldn't mind shooting another photo of the mounting brackets. If you could have that same rug in the background that would also add credibility to your argument.
Unitl then, I call fake
BTW archived threads brought up these sales:
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=426592 $100
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=416102 $120
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=526172 $85
You're a nice guy selling for $25

Re: (Homer J Pimpson)
take off the bracket, take a pic of the the middle of the shaft(looking through it).. if theres 2 supporting ribs its real, if its hollow its fake. enough said.

Re: (Windows 95)
either the rug or the sony stereo in the background would be nice. I've got tons of pics of the cross-section of the bar.......they're all over the net.
ixiblindixi
Who cares what the sticker says?? All these "ITR" or "CTR" bars on ebay are the same. Point is: the mounting brackets and cross-section views are the easiest ways to separate the fakes from the OEM.
BlueTeg, who already has a genuine bar and is just looking out for other buyers
