THIS HAS BEEN SOLD!
THIS HAS BEEN SOLD!
THIS HAS BEEN SOLD!

Hey Guys,

As the title states, I have my JDM B16A Automatic Transmission available for sale. It is LSD Equipped and comes with the OBD1 Automatic P30 ECU and the a Custom OBD2A to OBD1 Automatic Jumper Harness from Boomslang. This would be great for any currently Automatic B-Series Integra or to do an Automatic B-Series Swap as I did on my EK Hatch Civic.

I'm located in Orlando, FL and this must be picked up - unless you arrange/pay shipping. SOLD. I compiled a list of everything that will be included with the sale, see below.

ITEMS INCLUDED:
- JDM B16A Automatic Transmission with OEM LSD off a 92-95 Civic SiR-II in Japan
- Torque Converter from the same Transmission
- Automatic B-Series Starter
- Automatic B-Series Vehicle Speed Sensor
- JDM OBD1 Automatic P30 ECU
- Boomslang Custom Automatic OBD2A to OBD1 Jumper Harness
- Modified 96-00 Civic Upper Transmission Bracket w/ OEM Mount
- Front Automatic B-Series Transmission Bracket w/ OEM Torque Mount
- Mounting Hardware (Tranny to Block Brackets/Bolts, Torque Converter to Block Plate/Bolts, etc)

Thanks for looking,
Danny

I'm very very interested. Orlando is a bit far though I'll need to look into my options as far as coming up with the cash and logistics.

Any idea what freight shipping would be to zip code 35640?

How many miles does the transmission have on it? After rereading your post I'm not sure I need some of these parts because I'm doing a b20z non-vtec swap.

I honestly prefer local pick up versus shipping. I'm willing to ship though, however, I wouldn't even know where to start. As you mentioned it would have to be via freight ... Do you know or recommend any companies that do this?

The transmission, was bought with under 35K miles, I put about 1X,XXX miles on the swap it self when I had it on my 1996 Hatch.

Since this is going to go on an Automatic 1997 Civic LX, you will be golden with all the parts I have. Basically, you'll be able to drop this Tranny in and be good to go. You car is OBD2A as mine was, so the Jumper Harness will work without issues for you and wiring wont be a headache. The only thing would be that my OBD1 P30 Auto ECU is for a VTEC Engine, the B20Z is not, so you will run a CEL Light since it'll be looking for that. You can probably have that fixed by chipping the ECU.

Another suggestion would be to later source an OBD1 P75 Auto ECU. However, I do not know if the OBD1 LS Auto Integras ran a separate TCM to control the Tranny, which if they did it would not work for you. You see the OBD1 P30 Auto ECU I have controls both the Engine and Auto Tranny, no need for a separate TCM. Obviously, you would need to do your own research on this to see if this is a route you can take. If you can't because of requiring an additional TCM, you can just live with the CEL Light or check if you can get the ECU chipped to remove it.

Hope this helps. Keep me posted on any recommendations for the shipping if you know of any.

It sounds promising...I'll check with a local shop that has done this before and see what I might need to add or change of this. My knowledge gets very marginal when it comes to the auto tranny and tuning but I think it's possible somehow by converting to obd1 using a rywire harness made for an auto but I'm not sure if I can use a b16a auto or if I have to use an LS1 auto..again my understanding is vague here so please correct me where you can. With that said I may really only need the conversion parts and not the transmission but I will talk to the business that will do my swap (yes I don't have time, the knowledge or tools plus I will need my daily drive back asap once I give up my car).

You can use your current OBD2A Engine Harness no need for a Rywire Harness. My Custom OBD2A to OBD1 Automatic Jumper Harness by Boomslang basically allows you to run an Auto OBD1 ECU on your existing OBD2A Engine Harness.

Like I said, you can run my OBD1 P30 ECU, but since it's a VTEC ECU it will throw a CEL Light for VTEC. You have two options to get rid of the CEL, (1) you chip the ECU and bypass it or (2) you run an OBD1 P75 Auto ECU which is a Non-VTEC ECU and should not throw any CEL Lights. However, you'd need to research to see if the P75 ECU runs the automatic tranny or if it requires a separate TCM - I have no knowledge in regards to that. I honestly would recommend getting my P30 ECU chipped, it would be the best and safest bet.

Anyway, I'm selling this as a whole. I'm not parting anything out from this sale. If you're still interested and after you hear back from the shop that's doing your swap - let me know if you recommend any freight shipping companies, so I can see if I can get a quote from them.

The shop doing my swap says for me to get a P74 or P75, LS auto (for its nice tall 4th gear for mpg), and the JDM B20Z and they are going to get the rest of the parts. So for now I'm out but if I find a good deal on a B16 engine I'm out for now. GLWS

Thanks,
Jason

No problem ... Becareful with the Auto LS Tranny's here in the US. Do some research because I beleive they all have a seperate Transmission Control Module (TCM) and the wiring for that would be a headache to retrofit into your Civic. I believe this is true for OBD2 Transmissions.
