i know the previous owner and car in which that B18b motor resided in.
the motor had 180k on it in which the last 20k of its life it was boosted 12-16 psi daily driven.
on 12/21/07 the compression reading as follows from cylinder 1 through 4. respectfully, 150, 147, 149, 80.
after the compression test, the motor was in use for 2 more weeks leading up to its death. the motor could no longer hold idle or drive correctly.
it has also burned oil of about 2 qts a week.
just my .02 cents on why a seller should explain "why it just needs pistons"
