Default Turnin Concepts Time attack Subaru

So i met up with tony the other day to shoot there Time attack subaru before it goes under the knife for some more modifications before the next race/time attack. Look for a future shoot after the car is done as well. Enjoy. Hopefully i can get some info from tony for you all, other wise enjoy the pictures.

I know this is a honda forum, but i figured its nice to change things up a bit

What kind of silly rules do these cars run under that they need a right side mirror?

multiple cars in your class on track at once. what kind of silly racing are you watching? as i have never seen a race prepped vehicle without mirrors.

you posted rally cars (that dont activlely pass people so they dont need mirrors, but have to have them to be streetable. so at least one outer mirror will be in place. on newer cars, both will be in place)
autocross cars (that don't ever get passed or pass anyone, so they dont need mirrors. and only in prepared classes can mirrors be removed)
some of these cars (fa22c/fb rx7, 86 civic, sprite, european escort) had passanger side mirrors as an option when new. so they could legally remove it as per the rule set.

If you check the links three of those posted cars are time attack vehicles, the Evo, Miata and Barracuda. The Evo is a newer vehicle.
I posted a broad selection specifically to address your ignorance.

that ams evo has a giant rear view mirror so i dont think he would need side mirrors as does the miata

hahaha!
i was just looking through my grassroots mag on the pooper, and realized there were a few cars in there without mirrors. in fact it was this picture that reminded me to hop back on here.

eh, its all mostly autocross, but there are a couple TT cars in there. and there are also a couple you posted with at least one mirror.
so lets just agree, that the drag incurred by utilizing your mirrors is formidable, and it would be best to get rid of them. I'm mnot formiliar with redline's modified rules enough to say if it would be legal to do so though.

hey, i'm not the one that made the original mirror statement. and i am in no way validating my righteousness but rather arguing your statements to be incorrect.

What kind of silly rules do these cars run under that they need a right side mirror?
these silly rules

How's the "weather" in New York? Sunny?

Why are you attempted to bring my question into contention here?

It is not “whether” my inquiry is correct or incorrect.

The question is in regards to a rule set that seems at odds with a car attempting to be the quickest at what it does in contradiction of being required carry unnecessary weight and a drag producing appendage of little or no purpose.

because its not a free-for-all. that's what SUPER MODIFIED CLASS is for and things there could still be argued as to their legality.

Following a brief review of the rules I see nothing in the rules stipulating modified class vehicles must retain a right side mirror. Maybe the rules are not so silly, possibly just an under prepared car?
