Trailer Insurance
I just sold my 24' trailer and upgraded to a 28' my current insurance company only will cover trailers 25'. I need a new company, who does everyone use? Do you guys insure your trailers? As an aside I got a call from the guy who bought my 24' and it was stolen along with his open trailer Monday night. He was not insured and is basically screwed unless the cops find somthing

I am also calling my underwriters to see if that is something that Nationwide does or if I can make it something Nationwide does.

Looking for more info on trailers not race cars. Parish H wont insure a trailer. Great American appears to not have coverage in NJ. Anyone?

Re: Trailer Insurance (Andrew240z)
PArish-Heacock told me they would insure a trailer as long as it did not have bathroom and/or kitchen facilities; in other words, not a camper.
Try 'em again?

If you're in NJ like your location by your avatar says, you have exactly one choice: K&K, for not cheap. Stupid state to insure chit in.
I went through this when I bought my 20' enclosed earlier this year, and wasn't going to bring it home from the dealer until I had a policy on it.
P-H was a great help with excellent phone assistance, but doesn't write in NJ anymore. I had a quote and a reasonable price from Hagerty, but they ultimately declined the business due to me not having a classic car on the policy too.
So K&K it was, for way more coverage than I really wanted, but now -everything- motorsports related is insured, from the kid's Briggs kart to the Honda EU2000 generator to the EP Civic itself. It is costing me a cool $1000 a year though.

Re: (davidnyc)
FYI, I just got off the phone after speaking with Kim Overstreet with Parish Heacock. I needed to insure the new trailer and car. He was very informative and friendly. IMO, you can't beat the price either. Highly recommend you folks that need trailer/racecar insurance give him a call.

Re: (Back in Black)
Update:
K&K = $1,000
P&H = $294
Same coverage (car & trailer), just saved almost $700 per year!
