Weather really looks great. I think I'm going to try and make it out Saturday or Sunday. Tickets are $35 Saturday and $20 Sunday if anyone else is curious. Good luck AJ!

Re: Opening Rounds of the VW Jetta TDI Cup are This Weekend!
Hello!
Again, another extremely exciting day today! Thanks, yet again, for all of the support from everyone! It’s a been a fantastic race weekend and hope that the clean racing with clean diesel technology continues for the rest of this season!
This morning, we had our usual exceptional breakfast available to us in the VW hospitality area. Made myself a thick salmon, ham and cheese on croissant sandwich. Delicious! I ate this while I went over some data that Greg Amy and Jeremy Lucas @ FastTech Limited had gone over for me over night. Picked up on a few key points that they had mentioned after reviewing it and was anxious for round 2 of the VW Jetta TDI Cup to get underway!
Before we took to the track, we were fortunate enough to have Derek Daly come in as a guest speaker to talk about how to become a complete champion driver. He touched on the key points that are listed in his book, “Race to Win.” I, of course, had to buy one and had him sign it. Really motivating speech!
For today’s race, I had qualified 5th on Friday. I would take the standing start on the inside of row 3 right next to Andy Lee. We got out on the track for our warm-up lap and gridded up on the front straight. 5 second board went up, lights went on, lights went out, we were off! Everyone seemed to get a good start and immediately got into a single file line going into turn 1, from there, the battle was on. Early in the race, Andy Lee got by me which put me in 6th position. I struggled for about half the race to get back around him. By that time, the lead pack of four cars had a significant lead on the rest of us. The track was extremely greasy and was completely different from the day before. Tire management was key as I could tell these tires were getting way too hot for the conditions. I kept chopping wood while I maintained 5th place and then Timmy Megenbier had dropped out of the race due to a cooked motor. I then secured the 4th spot and on the last lap, witnessed a battle royal between the leader, Jake Thompson, and Mark Pombo. At the end of the back straight, Mark popped out of the draft going into the braking zone to potentially make a pass and accidentally put two wheels in the dirt and went spinning off down the hill! He was amazingly still able to hold onto his second place position in front of Taylor Broekemeier who rounded out the podium. I came across the line in a strong 4th spot!
Very happy how the weekend turned out overall. Jake Thompson and Joey Atterbury are tied for the lead in points after this weekend with myself in 3rd, 2 points back.
The next race on the calendar will take place at Miller Motorsports Park in Utah during the American Le Mans Series race weekend, May 15-17. I can’t wait!
Again, I’d like to thank all the fans who came out over the weekend to support me! It was really cool to witness all the orange shirts in the crowd!
Until the next round, take care and talk soon!
