Not sure why. I randomly saw it on MSN.

Lets hope this time is different and Ferrari don't mess up their strategies and pitstops like years past.

Re: The Official Formula 1 2022 season thread
The one thing I noticed the most on Sunday was that most of the manufacturers seemed to have the bouncing under control a lot more than Ferrari. However, the Ferrari was still able to settle down and get grip at the right time. But man was Leclerc ever bouncing around in that cockpit. Hopefully all that bouncing doesn't cause any long term damage to the ICE, PU or EU. Seems like ORBR is having some shake rattle and roll issues with their chassis components with another DNF for Max.

Watching quali and that Ferrari is still bouncing all over the place.

Are they? Still 4-7 in the WDC points. Don't let the doom and gloom interviews fool you. Hamilton and Merc have been doing that for 10+ years now. They do seem to be a bit slower to develop the new chassis than the other teams. However, if Sir Hamilton pulls his selfish head out his ****, and the young Russell already onboard, they will dial up the power and be back into the running. Seems as though they may be playing the long game right now. With reliability and the coast cap finally playing a part of the season. it seams that they are being a bit more reserved in dialing up the Merc's power to save form using 14 ICE this season, in the hopes that others are less reliable. Red Bull have had a rough start with the DNF's but I'm not so sure that it has anything to do with ICE, PU or gearbox issues. More than likely vibration vs hydraulic issues. Hydraulics do not play nicely with vibrations. The Honda power plants have been the most reliable for the past 3 seasons.
it was nice to see that Sky is no longer focusing on Hamilton and focusing on some of the mid pack battles. It was sweet to watch the Alpha seated Bottas vs Merc seated Russell challenge for 4th at the end of the race. The mid pack battle coverage was great. Much better than the last 7 years of watching Hamilton drive around by himself for 20 laps out front by 28 seconds. IMO that was the worst thing for F1. Odd that they didn't do the same today with the current WC out front by 16 seconds.....lol
Loving the mix up this season

I think enough people wanted to see more midpack battles than anything, myself included. Yes, watching the race leader is nice, sure. But show me the cars fighting for 4 - 12th, seems FIA listened to the people. Wouldn't say it was the worth thing for F1 by any margin, but it was nowhere near as exciting at what we get now. Not odd at all that they don't do it anymore, has nothing to do with anything other than the fact that it's not exciting. They haven't focused on the championship leader (LeClerc) running away either. F1 moved on from just focusing on the race leader, nothing more than that.
George Russell fighting off Bottas was the highlight of the race for me, by far.
But really, it's all about K-Mag and Haas actually being in the standings.

I think Haas did the right thing by calling KMag instead.
Still young and still has the drive.
I love his aggressiveness but felt his weaving around was a bit much.

This day in 1994 was a dark day for F1 fans around the world, I remember exactly where I was at this moment as if it were yesterday. This man new how to develop a car and push it and himself to the limits, and sometimes beyond, in order to be competitive. Never afraid to shoot for that gap, no matter how small.

Porsche and Audi to F1 in 2026. I wonder if the two power units will be independent of each other in design or just a badge engineering exercise.

Re: The Official Formula 1 2022 season thread
There are eight drivers in total, some from many years past, others from fairly more recent years.
Coulthard
Bottas
Barrichello
Moss
Berger
UPDATE: Ones I missed
Ronnie Peterson
Felipe Massa (I should have got that one)
Carlos Reutemann

IMO, all of the pre and post race commentary for US Grand Prix races have been a joke since Drive to Survive aired. Danica did seem a bit more knowledgeable this year then last though. All of the ignorant celebs can take a hike. I realize that they pay big money and sponsors love seeing them, but maybe pick some that have at least a little bit of interest in racing not just red carpet BS.

You're being kind, he sucked imo!
As much as I hate to admit it the British tv personalities are better at questioning the drivers.
Ferrari better have a upgrade to keep up with RBR or this season is going to be a runaway for MAX.
