I am not sure what you mean by "particpate"? If you are wanting too drive at the event in a HPDE group, 1st you must be a NASA member and then register for HPDE1 depending on your experience. At this time HPDE 1,2,3 are FULL with a Wait List.
If you would like to become involved and Work at the event then you should most likely email Laura C. She can tell you what you can help with and any more info you need. laura@nasaracing.net

Really?
I've always had to pay at NASA events these last couple years.

The only NASA Virginia events that have to charge are the Hype R Fest events, usually just once per year.
Summit Point will have a gate fee if, for example, you are attending an event on Friday and the SCCA is setting up that evening. They charge you going in so that you don't get away with camping at the site w/out paying the SCCA fee.
If that's the case, however, and you are only attending the local club's Friday event during the day, you can collect your entry fee on the way out the gate.

Now, there's somebody with some common sense. I tried to go to bed early, and right after I drifted off I got two phone calls, one right after the other, from people who were still at the track partying around 10:15 PM.
I hope they know what they're doing.

H5 was Belski,Adam the new guy,Beno, Harrison from the back of the pack, and Keith.
Looks like we may finally have all worked the bugs out of Dave's car after yesterday after the race and may actually race our first two race weekend this year.

Todd, Corey bent some valves, Cole blew a headgasket and finished fourth. Adam Spingler hit a tire wall and rolled his car I think during Practice (he's OK).
BTW, Corey and Logan are snoring on my living room couches and Cole just woke up!

I was there on Sunday spectating and it was free for both my wife and I. It was a great event, I loved watching the grey Sentra lift its rear wheel on turns. Awesome stuff!
