Left front tire locking up before others
DC2 chassis GSR
type R front calipers/mini cooper rotors/hawk street pads (front) stock rears with duralast oem replacement pads (rear)
RS master cyl/oem lines (brand new)
new Prestone fluid DOT3
I just removed ABS and im using a DA (2nd gen integra) 4040 prop valve. I thought the non functioning ABS was contributing to the poor brake performance but its doing the exact same thing, if anything the pedal feels even more numb.
its never had very good feel in the pedal and ive flat spotted the left front a few times now. any ideas?
Im going to swap the front pads and see what happens, i cant imagine the pads would be so different side to side but wel see.

Re: Left front tire locking up before others
pretty similar to how alot of the cars in this section are set up.
the one thread i found mentioned the slide pins, mine are brand new, fresh grease. calipers are only about a year old. rear calipers are brand new

Re: Left front tire locking up before others
Suggests a right side problem. The right side caliper piston may be stuck-ish or in bind so more braking pressure is getting done by the left side.
When you hit the brakes does the car pull to one side or the other? If so it's often the opposite side caliper. If not... if the car brakes straight as an arrow just before the left front locks then the picture is a bit murkier.
