Default lap timers and communication radios

what brand laptimers do you guys use?? Does anyone have the AMB it display timer?

Im also looking to get some crew to driver communication setup for '09.

Can't wait for CMP in Febuary!!

Clueless, do you race F500?

Shane the Motorola SP50 are great radios. They are not produced anymore but you can still find tons of them and they are fairly cheap. Aim does make some great product, we've used them for years.

check out speedcom communications.. they have some good in-car radio systems and crew stuff.

Cool, I've got a '95 KBS MKVII, getting ready to convert to F600 with a GSXR600. Good luck they are fun

Looks like a good deal if the radios are any good. You will definately want an external mounted antenna

there ok for small tracks... but for longer tracks you'll lose contact with the crew since the range isn't as great.

sampson is the place to go for radio needs. Contact them and they will set you up with a package that meets your needs.

Lap timer- AIM

I might have a used XG log for sale, and for what i want you get a lap timer FREE pretty much.

i just got rid of my hot lap stuff. im gonna try the blind apex lap timer next season

the XT racing ultra-lap timer is much better than the antiquated hot lap timer. i totally recommend it if you want a stand alone lap timer.

but i think we'll be setting up the mychron3 for datalogging, which has its own lap timer anyway.

thats cool but i wanna get away from having to put beacons out. the blind apex set up works off transponders and timing loop. so as long as the system is up and running (which is is for practice, qualifying and race), i'm good to go.

ic. never heard of it. do you mean it uses the track's AMB timing strip?
