I need to lose some weight
Seriously.
All the simple stuff and behind the dash is out. I also cut out the spare tire well. I'm planning to start hole sawing the chassis. Any good tips to focus on?
I will be ditching the hood for a custom one off carbon hood
Rad support has been "lightened"
I want to keep the stock fuel tank.
Carpet, sound deadening all that is gone.
Chassis is a 95 dc2

Re: I need to lose some weight
I'm driving non sanctioned right now and don't have plans to run class. Car needs to pass safety inspection so it needs to stay highway safe per se. I will be towing a small trailer that carries wheels and tires to the track. I took all the crap under the dash out. Maybe run a custom dash and open the cabin a bit.

Re: I need to lose some weight
Take out the front and rear bumpers obviously!
Rear is 13.2 lbs alone! The front can be gutted and still have some effectiveness if you're worried about intrusions into the cabin. I went crazy with a holesaw but it only really works well on the thinner sheet metal.
For now, I've gotten my EG6 down to 2200 lbs with low fuel, no driver, and this is a DD!
