I just spent my Infineon budget on bling, but hey, it had to be done
I know it might be sorta OT talking about a new tool box purchase, but seriously, I needed this. I've been fighting with my old overflowing Craftsman box for years and last weekend I finally had enough with the old drawers not closing all the way, getting stuck and falling off the tracks. I've been looking at new boxes the last few weeks and this is by far the best deal I found, so I brought it home. Sorry if this is a waste of your time, but this thing is just beautiful.
The whole thing is stainless steel and empty weighs 450 lbs, has heavy duty ball bearing drawer slides (small drawers have 160 lb capacity & large deep drawers have double slides with 320 lb capacity), two silky smooth hydraulic shocks for the top lid, and four wheel ball bearing swivel casters. The problem is, now that I transfered most of my stuff over to the new box, I can't remember what drawer I put stuff in.
Anyway, you can see my old POS box next to the new one. I think the old Craftsman might find its way to a permanent home in the trailer.
Looks more and more like a decent shop all the time

I am in the same boat. I actually have the exact same tool box set-up as your old one. It is beyond overflowing and overfilled. I need to upgrade myself.
Who makes your new one?

Re: (Want2race)
That's what I thought it looked like. Now, how high is the top of the box? Being rather short at 5'7" I'd be concerned that the top drawes/top compartment would be useless (or a good place to hide stuff from the wife, who is even shorter! )

I got it from Costco. It's unclear from reading the internet trying to find reviews, but http://www.CSPSmetal.com and http://www.Hammerhead.bz both manufacture this same box. Mine is labeled CSPS, while another one I saw had both the CSPS and Hammerhead labels on it. Either way it's a quality box and I haven't seen any bad reviews so far.
I'm about 5'9" and I have to stretch my neck a bit to look in the top section with the lid open.

I have the same box. A friend of mine have the Sams club one. The difference is the one they sell in Sam's club has a full drawer on the bottom chest and split on the top.

That's one of those "I need one but not until I have a place to put it" things. But damn. And I looked at the prices, which also got a "damn" out of me.
*orders tires to tie up money for pimp-box*

So does this mean we won't see you at Infineon or just that you'll be running on credit like the rest of us?

No no, I don't do the credit card thing. I have to pay cash for anything I want relating to the car sport (Mrs. johng's orders)
I will be at Infineon, but with a lot less cash in my pocket.
