nah, you two had a pretty amazing race on sunday for a while there. you both kept flying into turn one on top of each other practically.

By far my best race of the year I gotta order a few more parts, re-align the car, and take out more weight and i should be in good shape. i just dont think i can go untill nationals without doing at least one more event

I think you could have used a taller gear in a couple places... clearly 2nd was working for you in turn 1 but in the back section, 3rd gear would have bought you some smoothness and less understeery tire smoke.

What diff are you using?

-Chris
edit: "I'm just sayin'..." you may have already tried 3rd through there, and 4th in the last corner.

i tried 4th in the last corner but id always run way wide, if i stuck it in 3rd id get a better run out of it. either way it was about the same speed when i would go by start/finish.
As for 2nd gear in turn 1, 3rd didnt work at all, dead on its face. in the back section 3rd was dead also. I was over weight by 70 lbs too. I also corded my tires sunday.

great race! After watching my vid I think I could of used 2nd in turn 1, and turn 5 also. I was using 3rd but was out of VTEC. Something to try next time at summit point.

great seeing you guys again! Hope to see you all at Mid-Ohio later this year.

Red Civic in Shane's vid = Andrew Lee? Bummer on that T1 off near the end, hope that didn't put him out...

Also, I know the surface is all messed up, it looks like everyone's line reflects that. Way wide in T1 and T5, maybe T6 too? Is that the case, or is everyone just working to carry more speed or something?

Yes, that's the case. The road is up in the classic line in all three of those turns.

Adam, that was me making a stupid rookie mistake. If I had ducked in behind the Miata I would have kept it on the track. I still need some seat time to prevent mistakes like that. I had a great time battling with Brian, Spencer and Shane this weekend. More so on Sunday since I wasn't anywhere near Shane on Sat.

There's two red civic hatchbacks. Mine has some white on the hatch and a wing. Erik is solid red. If you're talking about the start of the race on saturday, I end up having to cut through the gravel to go around John Oldt in the S2000 but I found a way to get back on asphalt.

Was that Spencer who kept hitting you in the ***? I think either he's braking too late, or you're braking too early LOL.

Fun stuff. (Good video from Karl's car too. Need more time to watch them all...)

Hey locals: what's the deal with the exit of turn-3? Is the surface outside the FIA curbing paved? Does anyone ever use that as part of the race surface or is it too rough or slick?

Erik, you were my next guess. From that vid, you were flying dude! Nice job on everything except that off I couldn't really tell from the vid who it was (Andrew or Erik).

Thawley, outside/exit of T3 immediately past the curbing is a sand/gravel trap.
