Default Hypercoil vs eibach

Either one of these superior to the other as a race spring? I need to order springs for my new suspension today and I can get them both for the same price, so not sure which to get. Anyone have experience with both?

.RJ feel free to move this the the suspension forum if you feel it belongs there, but I was hoping for more of a racers input.

Ive had no issue with my hypercoils in the rear, 800lbs. But I don't have a ton of mileage on them yet.

Something that annoyed me though, was their helper springs. They don't use adapter plates at all... they just tell you to safety wire them to the spring... or just leave them sitting there with nothing to hold them in place. At least this is what KingRat motorsports passed on to me from Hypercoil.

Both are good. Get whatever is cheapest and available locally in your sizes. Hypercoil sells their springs to a LOT of other companies who merely use different paint to call it "their" product. Good stuff no matter the color.

I have Hypercoils in the front and Eibachs in the rear. I'm happy with both.

Just what does it mean to be #1 in something like this? Does this mean you supply more teams, or that your springs win in a fatigue test? I've always wondered what it means to be #1 when there isn't a championship for a manufactured product.

I would buy Hypercoil.

In my experience at least, the finish/coating is a higher quality. Plus blue > red

I think "other people" should buy Eibach....so I can read the nomenclature .

Scott, who's on Hypercoils this time around...and who thinks there should be a device of some kind between the tender/helper spring and the main spring...Champion Audi were running nice looking ones...

It simply means teams on our springs have the most wins, which is something we actually track. Kinda helps when we are on 100% of the field in most of the series

Who's going to organize the fatigue test championship? I have a cycle testing machine ready to go

Hyperco does make a great spring.

Scott and everyone else,
Hyperco does offer a spring divider to put in between the tender springs and the main springs. They only offer them for the 2.50" ID springs at this time. We have them in stock. $28.00 each. Pegasus part# 1877-2.50.

So Scott, what rates have you decided to run this year? Still thinking the tire should do most of the springing? And what length does one use with Motons? Is that why you need helper springs, falling off their perches as the dog makes a move?

As for Eibach vs Hypercoil, I've heard they are both excellent products, top of the class. Eibach's are on mine for now.

Joo know better than that Claude - it ain't the length of the spring, it's the length of the damper shaft.

Rates, I forget exactly, there's alot of vegetation obscuring the kaa, but they's high for sure. And I'm sure that with as little high speed compression damping as the Motons have the ride will be plush.

Scott, who will have to get out the weed whacker and chain saw if he's gonna start gettin the kaa ready to race...

**Bob - too late, I made up some like Champions...course now I think I want to run tender springs instead of helper springs and they may be different OD...Oh Well...

PS - on topic: I have used both Eibach and Hyperco, and I say it's a toss. Pick one, you won't lose.
