Re: (Redcivic92)
The track doesn't open until either 5:30 or 6:00 (I've seen both times listed as when we are officially allowed in). If you are in Carlisle at 2:30 you'll be at the track way too early....

Re: (speedracer33)
I know we will be getting there early but there will probably be a line to get in and we want to be able to get in and stake out a place for the other Honda Challenge racers. I have seen both times posted as well, I think they will start letting people in around 5:30 if the Friday racers have started clearing out.

Well, I just spent my first night in WV... I should say "night" because I pulled in at 5 AM and it was starting to get light!
Car needs a new windshield and some gas, other than that it should be ready to go
Sucks that I just sold my spare Honda Challenge banner. Maybe I'll find a ricer HONDA banner at a Autozone or something.

The FATT on Friday went very well. Very fast track, great weather, very fast drivers.
A troop of modified EVO's was there. Not much I could do about them...had about 20 mph on me at any given point.
As the racers started showing up after FATT, that's when I realised what a huge event Hyperfest is going to be this year. Very, very crowded paddock. Huge rigs everywhere.

Thank you for not throwing me out of the spaces we were using on Friday!
You can still get an extra space out of where we are by moving our tent back and making us park both cars in front of the tent.
As it is, we're taking up at least one paddock space more than we absolutely need.

Weather is perfect and track is fast. Chris F is looking better each time out. Not to shabby for 1st time to the Point. Time to go to sleep so I can wake up tomorrow and not be so grumpy.

I just got back from hyperfest. I did a hyperdrive session and popped my track cherry! It was freakin fantastic! I was with my friend Erik95LS, who drove up from southern WV. It was very cool meeting Chris F, and seeing alot of you guys out there. I had a great time and can't wait until next year! Hopefully Erik will post some pics tomorrow

Weather today will be slightly warmer, but humidity should still be low enough that it will not be uncomfortable.
Let's pray for less carnage on track today.
Yesterday I had my first on track collision in seven years of driving.

The M Coupe was a time trial/instructor from another region, and I think some rules about pointing never got explained quite completely. They ruled it was his fault, but I feel very guilty because if I were thinking faster I'd have gone off to make sure that no contact was possible.
Damage to the door and fender, shouldn't be too hard to fix by either replacing or just banging it out some and going on w/life. One Volks was damaged, but not enough to hurt the wheel, and the car still tracked fine at high speed.
All groups, racing and instruction, were very, very full. There was an EVO and a Mustang totalled in one of the junior instruction groups, which was quite weird. Lots of racing incidents, too. Sunday went better than Saturday, from what I could see.
