2012 NASA Nationals. Filled with more let downs and disappointments than a mental institution filled with emo kids.

I'd be the first to admit that Kevin very likely would have swept 1st all the races had the car not gotten wrecked - he did a superb job building that motor for some hp! Walked my s2000 down the straight like I was in a miata. Actually, might have been a close race with the replacement car had it not been for the vtec dropping out issue.
Also, hat's off to Merris for getting the car done (just) in time for the race. Looking at lap times, had he not started in the back it probably would have been a close/fun race! Bummer about not having time to hit the scales first...
It is too bad that Friday's qual race wasn't aired, because John and I had an intense battle for the last 5/6 laps! I started in the back due to not getting a qualifying time, and caught up to John who was in first. He did an awesome job defending his position for several laps! Eventually I was able to get side-by-side on the outside of the keyhole, and we drag raced all the way down the back straight, just getting in front for the braking zone, and then I worked hard to defend for a couple of laps before the checkered. That was the most fun I've had yet in w2w!! Sadly, I was dumb and forgot to install my sd card in the camera, so I have no footage...John, you ran yours right??
Thanks to all the other competitors too, great time racing with you all, it nice to meet you in person finally. Also, from what I saw of the races, it was super clean driving for the most part! For once it was all the other groups that had incidents...

Unfortunately Kevin's back up car lost vtec and had a blown seal in the head and cylinder 1. The intake manifold was changed but couldn't get a retune and there was a hole in the exhaust. Wish the car was in better shape for Kev.

Congratulations to all the participants, it's an achievement just to make the show.
You all should be proud, count me in the jealous crowd!
