H1 Entries for Buttonwillow Next Weekend?
So who's going?
The the SoCal H1 championship battle is heating up. I thought my lead was secure after Sam blew his engine at PIR. But word on the street is, Sam will be renting an H4 car (but running in H1) to try to maintain his points advantage over Bernardo while waiting for his new engine.
Bernardo's going to the dyno today with some new K-series Euro ****. And he'll be running bigger rubber and 17" wheels next weekend. He might finally be able to make turns like he's used to.
My points lead is on shaky ground if these guys get their acts together. I'm still 50-70hp down from them with my stock B20 (non-VTEC). But I'm better looking and more fun at parties, so that's got to count for something.

This is debatable.....
Anyways see you guy's there with my camera in hand! Going to try to shoot from some new spots on saturday.
I will also have a box full of TPR magazine. You know the one that gave WCHC some media coverage. Yes, they are free
Good luck Mr. T!

Haha.. Your loving the off topic conversation right John?
Looks to me that the count goes something like this!
Thawley
Mr. B
Sam (running H1 in an H4 car)
Mike Garcia
Mike Lee?
Meris?
Looks like a pretty good looking H1 field might shape up.
How about H4, who is gonna be there?
I know I will be, along with Edik and Rothchild. Who else is gonna show? Benny is gonna miss the fun, but I hear a certain guy who's name begins with an R might run his car! How about the rookies? Stan, John Howard, David Kim?
Sideris, you gonna be there?
Rick, did ya get the tranny fixed? I know your itching to come out and have some more fun!

Unfortunately the June and July HC dates conflict with my R/C racing commitments so will not be on track again (with NASA at least) until August.

is right. Same thing prevented me from making 2 of the last three HC races in 2005. Business before pleasure.

I think Tom from NV is planning on coming down to run H4 w/ you guys. Erik and I had looked at making the drive out, but my car isn't ready and Erik can't take that much time off of his new job. Anyway, have fun and be safe.

I'll be there. I just installed a warning buzzer that tells me when my window net is down,
so watch out!

Fired the engine last night finally, it is amazing how many things break when the car sets for three months and gets torn apart. My main fuel relay went bad, the radiator is leaking, the starter was haning on the flywheel ect, ect. Should have all of the bugs cleared out and hopeully be ready to head out on Friday. Sorry you and Erik won't be there Scott. Are you gonna run the summer ASRA series still? This will probably be my last race untill we start back up at PIR in October. Can't wait for the whole group to be back and running. Hopefully Paul will be ready by then too.
See you So cal guys this weekend.

Glad to hear that your car has made it back to the land of the living. I hope you guys can get Paul's car sorted out and ready to rock by Sept. You're gonna need to pick up the shell before you can do that though.
My car is going to be down for a while longer, so I'm going to head up to Phx this weekend to hang out w/ Erik at the ASRA event and maybe put a few laps in his car to get aquainted with it and help him dial in the handling. Our plan right now is to dual drive the July night enduro in his car. That should give me plenty of time to finish my car over the next couple months. I might take it out to the CRA event in Aug just to shake it down. BTW - check nasaforums. They added a Sept NASA event at PIR to the schedule. It's gonna be hot, but I'll be itching to drive PIR bad enough by then to do it.
