Johnny Mac is the Aero Guru, and an Aerodynamicist.
See link for his profile.

He is located in So Cal and races Honda Challenge in that region.
In the past if there were questions to be asked about the science he would be the go to guy to ask.
Last post seems to have been in august so he probably still trolls the forum.
Lots of good reading if one has time to sift through his posts.

Yeah....moon discs all around!
Very cool stuff.
And to whoever mentioned the "JDM hood prop"....no! That's a high pressure zone (the pocket where the windshield meets hood).. venting tthe back of hood will actually pressurize it more.
You might want to put tape over the wiper/cowl area and make it "smoother"

Good stuff!
I would highly suggest considerably reducing the front air inlet and either switching to W2A or making post intercooler duct work somehow that will help direct upwards out of the hood. Do NOT go down, you will be lifting the front if you do. At 100+mph you do not need 4x1 feet of area in front of the intercooler. Why not make a smooth insert that will make a nice gradual change across the bumper with a much smaller inlet directly into the center of the IC?
Also, think about venting the rear portion of the front fenders. You have significant amounts of air flowing into that area from underneath and it has no where to go. Same thing with the rear area, make sure that you are not allowing air to get up under your flat bottom because it will pocket and slow you down.
Lastly, a note about your high end stability. You are locking the rears for the exact opposite conclusion you are coming to. You have LITTLE TO NO DOWNWARD FORCE on the rear wheels when you hit the brakes which is making it very easy for you to lock the rears up, in fact you may even be doing exactly what a lot of the drag guys do and completely lifting the rear wheels off the ground.
Think about either changing the brake bias with an adjustable proportioning valve, or move the rears to a separate lever arm all together so that you only have fronts on the pedal.
Keep at it though, it all looks like a ton of fun.

Sorry guys been crazy busy here past month or so at work!
I have not truly decided which route i will be doing. There is a very good chance i do M1 Methanol instead of E98 and keep the Air to Air on there and cover up the front end. I know it will gain a few mph just doing that and after talking to Speedfactory about their SFWD car and they picked up 3mph by closing the front end and their IAT's were not bad at all!
There will be a lot of mods on this car over the winter. Aero mods for sure! Rear fenders will be different, still thinking about front fenders and if i am going to vent them or not.... I still like the clean look of the front fenders haha.
Yeah when i took off the Stock wing, i lost whatever little bit of downforce it had. Isn't that what i said? lol If not that is what i meant to say. I did also change the front pad compound and the car was better too!
After i did the drag wing on the back it was X20 times more stable. There was a 20mph or so crosswind and the car under braking was so much more stable it was refreshing haha.

Does anybody know what the affect of lengthening the fins on the back of the diffuser would do?
I want to change the material of my rear fins right now, and i can only assume that making the fins a bit longer will not hurt anything..

I also bought some smoke bombs, and plan on turning our dyno into a Wind tunnel.
If that doesnt work then i will be driving around with some smoke bombs on the car with Gopros hahah

The set up you have going looks pretty good. Looks like the air from your trunk and under the car will exit at about the same distance and eventually meet but I don't think it will effect your car. If anything you will already be away from that area that the air combines into one stream.

How did you tie in your front splitter to the chassis... And is your under tray below the exhaust? Just trying to figure out how I'm going to do mine. I'm thinking about hugging the motor exhaust and suspension. But I'm not sure if its necessary. What you you recommend.
