Favorite Gauges?
At one point I had a white face/orange needle gauge, The visibility during the day was great. However it was a back-lit type and at night it was less than ideal. On my last car I fell into the hype and bought tinted face type gauges, and visibility at night was great due to the LED lighting, but during the day it was very bad.
I'm looking to get some new gauges and am trying to decide what type to get. There are so many options, even just summit racing has 100's.
I'll be running electronic gauges only, excluding possably a mechanical boost gauge. Oil pressure, water temperature, voltage, tachometer, possably a oil temperature gauge as well. I'm really digging the ones with built in warning functions.
Some cool gauges:

integral programable warning
http://store.summitracing.com/...w=sku
programable warning output
http://store.summitracing.com/...rstop
programable flashing warn
What do you run, and how do you like them?

I really like the autometer UltraLite gauges.....Silver face, Silver bezel, black numbers, and orange needle. Visability is good in day and night.

2nd that ... I run them also and have used them in day and night races with no trouble seeing the readings.

I like Auto Meter. I ran phantom's in my first track car. Z-Series in my second track car and my truck. I currently need to wire this up in the new car which has ultra lites in it.

Re: Favorite Gauges? (Mr Hammond)
Got ahold of MSD, the Lazer gauges should be available by the end of october at the latest. Depending on pricing I may try those, if not then probably some Autometer's.

I really love my Apex Gauges
http://www.apexi-usa.com/produ...Num=1
Peak light, warning light, recordable, they're awesome, and easy to install.
Wire up gauge box, then just plug and play!

Re: Favorite Gauges? (krustindumm)
i was about to go get a bunch more gauges but it would end up costing me a bit of money. I think if i add um all up (auto-meters) it was like 400 or 500 dollars.
Im just going to spend the extra money and get an AIM mychron dash. Not only do you have tach, oil pressure, oil temp, water temp, shift lights, and speed. But you can see it at all times and you have data acquisition

Re: Favorite Gauges? (Erik95LS)
I Have the same ones that Erik95LS has and they have worked great the whole time I've had them.
PS when on Earth does your oil pressure get that high? I don't think mine ever goes that much past 80 psi.

One of my firends just picked up a STACK cluster for his S14, I prefer the analog tach in it to the full digital Microdash. If I do go with a standalone display, it will be a Defi VSD.
