January/2012 Sebring Double National Race
EP - ’94 Acura Integra GSR owned and built by David Hussey
David had a great week-end; car ran well, motor was strong shifting at 9K RPM all week-end. The car did a 2:27 lap time during the race. The car is an EP Acura GSR with a B18c1 motor and a close ratio Dog Box weighing in at 2300 lbs with Driver.
Attached is the in car video of the first race with the EP Acura and EP Mazda RX8 going through lap traffic. The Mazda is a fully built Speed Source car. David enjoys driving the Acura and says the motor pulls through the gears easily and the Dog Box shifts smoothly.
David ran two forty minute races; placed third in both races and the car had no problem. The Data Log from the car showed Water Temp 190; Oil Temp 170; AFR 12.6; EGT 1200 degrees; RPM 9000 – 9200. Front brakes were glowing red hot but David said his brakes were fine. Hope you all enjoyed the video as much as we did.

Nice driving. I'm just learning, so it is interesting watching a better/faster driver getting thru traffic while still be patient, as needed. Is the 170 for the oil temp a typo? Just wondering - what motor oil and trans fluid are you running, and how often do you change them? That question comes up in other threads, so just wondering. Also, is that shift extender the one piece unit (I forget the brand), and do you find the throws OK or somewhat too long? Thanks!! - Jim

Looks like a Fastline shifter to me. It is one piece. I have one in my daily driver. I love the thing. I sit pretty far back because I'm reasonably tall, and I always felt like I had to reach for the oem shifter. The fastline feels perfect to me(I dont feel like I'm reaching for it. The throw is a bit less than the oem shifter if your grabbing it by the top. You can also grab it a bit lower and it gets short like an s2000 shifter.

That's a TALL first, lol.
What kind of power do you need to make to run competitively in EP in an integra? When I get around to doing my motor I'm thinking about doing it to the limited prep production rules. The compression restrictions kinda suck though.

Scott,
to be competitive in the EP class your car need to be over 200 WHP.
