Was was the field so jumbled up with H1 cars in the back?</TD></TR></TABLE>
Mid-west has this strange rule that if you don't show up at the race drivers' meeting, you start at the back, behind even the guys who have been moved to the back for contact (that'd be me). Sure was exciting having a bunch of H1 cars behind me for the standing start.

Overhearing some of the comments about the standing start were priceless.
Person 1: Why are they stopping?
Person 2: Whats a standing start?
And it goes on and on.
I need a new camera... I thought 22x zoom was cool and spiffy but its not.

Good racing all weekend. supposedly there was no contact at all for Saturday's race and very minimal on Sunday too.
On Sunday I misshifted 2-3 on the start and that was a sure way to go from POLE to about 8th in no time!!
Lots of nice lap times for all the HONDA guys.

Nice job Zephyr, especially since he drives it to and from the track.

I just wanted to add that it looks as if Zephyr tied the old H5 lap record on Sunday (1:10.9) with a car he drives to and from the track. Awesome!
And Congrats to David Harrison with a new H5 record. 1:10.769

Not quite. He was about *this* close though. Still, quite an accomplishment.

Wish the Taurus in front of me on Sunday had had a bit more practice. Almost had a really big blue oval hood ornament.

Re: ECHC BeaverRun Results ??
Yup another great weekend at the Beaver. Watching the H-C starts was awesome. That made for a very angry swarm into T1 yet it was good, clean racing. Great job to all the drivers.
I should have pix posted tomorrow. I keep thinking I'm going to get to meet more H-T people, then I always end up busy and running around like crazy.

Re: (sscguy)
I finally got to watch me some Honda-Challenge, and I am very glad that I did!
First of all, the Beaver is a very nice place to be, in case anyone was wondering...
In all seriousness, nice facility, fun track, less than 1.5 hours from NE Ohio...
Also a big to Chad and all of the guys making the long distance tow to come and play!
I really enjoyed watching both races, you guys put on a terrific show. Talk about haulin' some **** out there, that was great stuff. 1:04s are just awesome.
Looking forward to seeing you guys in action again!

I heard the Audi said he wouldn't race anyone, I coulda sworn it looked like he was an H1 car racing everyone he could. </TD></TR></TABLE>
I personally asked every HC competitor during registration on Saturday morning if they had any issues w/ the USTCC cars racing w/ us. The only comments I had made to me about this was for the Taurus SHO to be mindful of his mirrors and not to hold up or become a factor in someone else's race. There was no mention of any issues in racing w/ Jeff Mishtawy (Audi driver), and actually, most were quite comfortable racing w/ the Audi (having done so at Summit Point the past 2 years). If anything happened during the race with either of the USTCC cars please let me know as I was not aware of any issues.

Sam

Jeff is a very hard and aggressive racer. But in doing this, he is also very knowledgeable of his limits as well as the limits of his car and is always mindful of who he is racing w/ on the track. Just because he appeared to be racing hard doesn't mean that he was holding anyone up or interfering w/ anyone's race. I'm sure if he'd gotten into a position on track where he was going to be involved in the outcome of another class's race he would have backed off and let the guys battling for position in class sort things out amongst themselves and waited to pass until the straights.

Yes he is awesome to watch. He really knows how to b!tch slap that quattro around the track. Him and the rest of the Stasis guys are a great group - always the first people to help out in the pits, etc.
As mentioned he's been in the same run group with the HC drivers before; seems like they all know each other and are fine running together.

Yes, you are correct. He raced his CRX in H4 at Mid Ohio and at Hyperfest @ BeaveRun in 2003. From there he took it out for the last time at Gingerman in July of 2003 and then moved on to the Audi in the fall.
He raced his CRX in ITA for several years before that.

Have you considered a job working for A&E doing their "Biography" shows?

LOL! No, I hadn't, but hey, if it pays more than my present job, I'd be down for it.
